First, let's look at 2017. What did we have?

4 major Updates. BUT... Only two DLCs and one Chapter. Remember: Homestead was not a DLC.

What do we have so far in 2018?

Dragon Bones DLC + Update.

What is missing?

3 major Updates: Chapter + 2 DLCs. Obs.: They can only release 1 DLC and a "non-DLC free Update" (as it was with Homestead). At the same time, they promised "three more DLCs and a full new Chapter for ESO in 2018.": https://www.elderscrollsonline.com/en-us/news/post/26275

So... Finally, what have we discovered so far in Datamining?
(Remember that there's no official information and everything can change!)

The Sumerset Isles (probably a full new Chapter)
Spellcrafting (Chapter system - If Zenimax wants, he can do the same thing he has been doing with Battlegrounds: to release new content every major Update! That is, Morrowind users have been getting new Battlegrounds with each new Update).
The Spiral Skein, also known as Mephala's Web or simply Mephala's Realm (probably a DLC). Yes, new ZONE! But... Is that all? No! They can release a new Trial and/or a new DLC system (as a new skill line, for example).
Psijic Order skill Line (DLC system). I don't believe it and I don't want it to be a Class. I know there are several Classes in The Elder Scrolls series, but I still prefer the freedom to create my character the way I want it. The more skill lines (and less classes) the better! Maybe Psijic skill line and Spiral Skein come together!
Jewelry Crafting (Free system). Perhaps Jewelry Crafting is the "2018's Homestead Update" (that is, a free system that doesn't come together with a DLC or a Chapter). But nothing prevents this system from being released along with the others.

There may even be more datamings, but these are certainly the most important.

What can I conclude from all this? This is 2018!

Unlike Morrowind, everything that is being datamined right now has been exciting me.
Not that Morrowind was terrible, I didn't mind it, but these are the things I specifically wanted for a while now.

So the big difference for me is, it's happening.

Time will tell when though.

If the Psijic skill line is tied to the Summerset story, it will be released with that chapter and not part of a different DLC. If there is a free DLC/update this year, it could be a crafting DLC with spellcrafting, jewelry crafting and some other crafting updates (researchable and craftable ornate, intricate or new traits). I’m thinking we are overdue for some new provisioning ingredients which would entail new recipes that would fit in nicely with a crafting DLC.

I think it will come with the chapter, I can't imagine the island being that big. But then again, it has the portals to Oblivion in that dreaming cave.

for what it's worth, we found an aurbis hover effect blob file for both summerset and artaeum zone, this could imply we're getting artaeum zone and summerset zone separately, or both in one chapter

My money is on Artaeum being it's own Update, much like Clockwork City was it's own update off Morrowind.

I think this might be the order. Well I hope this is the order as if we get two dungeon DLC's this year, gonna be a major let down.

I suggest ZOS better release VMA , VDSA 2.0 or relevant new content with cool 1pc or 2pc (1H1S) drops .

TBH , it's better than release 12 man harder and harder end game trials , such as VMOL , VHOF .
I wanna enjoy the new added content even I am just a semi pro player .

End game 12 man trails are not developing for 250 pings or plus players . Sometimes we do have problem with light weaving in the crowd you know ?

They said in their year ahead post that there would be two dungeon packs this year (the quote was domething along the lines of they're dedicated to continuing to release group content of this type, including two next year) so more likely to be Dragon Bones - Sumerset chapter - dungeon DLC - Zone DLC, probably Mephala's Realm.
Bear in mind that everything that came with Morrowind was tied to it so whatever additional systems they release with the next chapter is likely to not be a free base game update. Makes me hope we don't see spellcrafting or jewellery crafting until later in the year, although I'm sure one or the other will be with Sumerset. I can hear the cries of p2w now!

My guess:

We will "visit" Artaeum as part of Summerset's main story, just like we visited the Clockwork City as part of Morrowind's, but it will be its own DLC and zone later. It's also been found that Artaeum goes in the outer ring of the map, like Coldharbor and the Clockwork City, so it will be a separate accessible zone.

And Mephala's realm is more likely to be like the Evergloam in Clockwork City: delves/dungeons/trial and7or quest location inside of it, rather than a full explorable zone.

That might happen, at some point most if not all the daedric realms will have a DLC of their own with a zone. Might not be soon but over the history of the game it might happen. It would be a missed opportunity from a selling point of view if we couldn't. As I for one would like to travel and explore all the main realms of Oblivion and defeat each daedric prince like we did with Molag-Bal. (before lore buffs hit me with logic I know we only slowed him down)

I think we will stil det 3 dlc and a chapter because they said so
I believe the new release shcedule anounced last year didnt start with home stead but rather with morowind but only time will tell

As for jewelrie crafting it can also be a chapter system

They planned Chapters for Q2. Don't think they change their plans after the first year they announced them.

Q2 needs a content update. Q3 can be something like Homestead, Q4 will be something like Clockwork City imho. Summerset in Q2.

If we aren't getting an expansion and two DLC then that's going to be a problem. The expansion I have no doubts about, but if it's only one DLC and a "free update" like homestead then that will be two years in a row that ESO+ has been significantly devalued.

To be clear : ESO Plus was advertised as coming with FOUR DLC every year. Any year that there isn't a DLC means that ESO+ has lost value for that year. Because of the new schedule involving "chapters" we are automatically missing a DLC every year, so every year at least one DLC-valued addition must be made to ESO+ to keep up its advertised value. They've done double furnishings, craft bag, double bank space, and costume dyeing in the past, which more or less fits the bill. We still need something for this year, and TWO somethings if they really are only releasing one DLC later on instead of two.

That said, I'm reasonably confident they won't backtrack on the outline given last year, with 2 DLC, a dungeon pack, and an expansion.

Im sure about the jewelry crafting. I think we will get a psijic skill line... not a class since classes need both stamina and magicka morphs. I cant see psijic monks swinging around swords. Also in the datamine Ive read it said that summerset is a bigger zone than vvardenfell, 12x12 instead of 9x9, so more story content instead of a new class.

I cant see spellcrafting being a thing unless its excluded from being able to be used in pvp.
Also would spellcrafting mean that stamina characters can make stamina based spells with all the range and aoe of magicka spells?
I cant see them adding something to the game that basically excludes all the stamina races.

I guess that's a little ambiguous. There's always a chance that they meant two dungeons - the two in Dragon Bones - but to me that reads as two dungeons packs.

There better won't be anymore updates like Homestead that add nothing to the progression of your character. Was even worse than the dungeon DLCs.

Why not? They've done that before. Every single year since release in fact. Subscription only with new content every six weeks -> new DLC every quarter -> current system with quarterly releases and a 'Chapter' being one of them.

Mind, there doesn't seem to be any need for them to change it this year, but it's still more surprising that they aren't rather than surprised that they are at this point.
