Has anyone tried it? In which I mean, play a character that doesn't use any class abilities, maybe passives but that's it.

    All stamina characters had to do this back at launch =p

    They still kinda do, most only have like 2-3 class skills

    frontbar: inner light, elemental blockade, force pulse, elemental drain, destructive reach
    backbar: healing ward, harness magicka, combat prayer, mutagen, entropy.

    If that sounds like fun, have at it. Doesn't seem terribly difficult or compelling.

    You should make it a real challenge like only 2 destro skills or 2 resto skills can be on a bar, so they'd have to choose more skills.

    Considering my main EU char is a stamina templar and my main on NA is stamina nightblade, I think I know how it works for Stamina.

    Now for magicka it's different.

    Tried a mage guilds bar with my sorc sometime ago. It's actually not that bad. Fire rune is actually spammable with the right morph. Combine that with the light armor shield and either destro or resto staff and you're good to go.

    I kinda did this with one of my mag toons but only because of running class skills I was running destro class skills and a mixture of the undaunted n the mages guild skills.
    * Maccb- Level 50 DragonKnight- Fire mage type build/ BSW body, Valkyn Skoria mister set, & Willpower Jewelry/Random Flame/Lightning/Reston STAFF's
