Redguard viable for Stamina Nightblade (ganking) PvP?

So I've been a bit lost on a decision recently, of whether to race change a champ-ranked character of mine to a Wood Elf (stealth bonuses, huge regen) or a Redguard (great max stam/adrenaline rush passive ((and overall a bit cooler looking when it comes to the male variety than the wood elves))). Every fibre of my being wants to go with Redguard, but I would like to do both types (PvE & PvP effectively) with this character. I saw a couple of posts around about Redguards stealth being a bit bugged, not to mention wood elves have their "stealthy" passive (-3m detection range and +10% dmg in stealth.)

TL:DR: Is Redguard stealth bugged? does the Stealthy passive from Wood Elves matter a whole lot? Would I put myself at a huge disadvantage by going Redguard in PvP for ganking and/or put myself at a disadvantage with a Wood Elf in PvE?

i changed my race back and forth over 2 years, just to discover it didnt rly matter all that much.

For pure ganking wood elf wins, but overall redguard is better for stamina builds imo.

Wood elf will give you few % more dmg on initial burst from stealth, and will recover stamina faster when you reset into stealth or cloak. but thats about it.

Redguard, dosnt have 10% more dmg from stealth, BUT has more stamina in general, and that translates into more damage over time. So it is your go to pve race for sure. Its more versatile, cos it can play well with heavy armor, s&b, and sustains better while in melee combat.

but its still more about good looks so..

    im a khajit xd

    lol @Putinof

I might say something similar about my mNB. He went from dunmer to highelf then breton and then argonian but he's so damn ugly man... my sNB was a Khajiit and now he's a woodelf, so far so good since I play ganking with him.

For OP: Go redguard if you are really into PvE, you'll do just fine in PvP as well; go woodelf for open world or ganking.

I have stamina characters in the three races, and I have both a khajiit and a redguard stamblade.

Generally, the racial passives on these (and bosmer) keep them within like 1% of each other in performance. Bosmer And khajiit put out a little more power, then redguards are meant to sustain a bit better. And they do work this way...you’ll notice a difference.

With the game where it is now, a lot of players are needing to put some recovery on either via mundus or a jewelry enchant. Because of this, my khajiit and redguard pull closer together in dps because the khajiit needs the recovery and the redguard doesn’t...somthe redguard gets one more +174 damage glyph. Of course, for the redguard to benefit fully they need to Keller attack every 5 seconds. This isn’t hard, but they can’t be a pure range build.

In PvP, I do notice the stealth difference by quite a bit. Redguard stealth isn’t broken, but your detect radius is considerably larger. So people will see you more often. My khajiit has a ridiculous stealth radius...he can sit on a keep wall ledge next to an enemy on the next ledge and they won’t see him.

In short, if you like redguard go for it. In PvP you’ll be slightly weaker than the other classes owing to a bit less stealth and power, but in PvE you’ll make up for it with awesome resource management (which is annoying to me...when a character doesn’t have enough resources). And 99% of the time you won’t notice a difference.

Thanks for the replies guys, and sorry it's been a while for me to reply. I've decided to go with a Wood Elf nightblade, purely because I feel they get the best of both worlds from Khajiit and Redguard passives (superior stealth and decent recovery.) Plus, I feel it brings a little variation to the looks on my characters, as I now run a Redguard Stam DK, High Elf Mag Sorcerer and Wood Elf Stamblade.

there isn't a single stamina build I can't think of, where redguard is a bad choice.
