DoT-Ticks1 = DoT Ticks3; DoT-Ticks3 >DoT-Ticks2
Do you understand what that means @Ep1kMalware ? If damage is exactly the same, the chance that it scales entirely the same in both test is pretty high (~100%). If it would be, like you said it would be like: DoT-Ticks3>DoT-Tick1>DoT-Ticks2
Appaerently it isn't...
do you understand what this means? It means that an underperforming skill line (bow) got silently nerfed when it needs a buff more than anything.
No...just no...
case 1: damage is the same as before
case 2: damage is the same as before
case 3 damage is higher than before
So it helps players who don't barswap fast enough or just don't know about that...doesn't look like a nerf to me
No it's not. Stop spewing ***. You need to shut up for a sec and actually stop farting comments. Here is a comparison before the nerf, homestead patch. Character is naked, no raid/vma buffs. In trials poison inject got near 50k ticks, how is that the same or more damage?https://youtu.be/-06wJmBG8TQ
Once vma buff/raid buffs/all set bonuses start comming into play the damage from this skill becomes noticably gimped. You can make believe w/e the hell you want but this skill mechanic was fundamemtal with stamina dps rotations.
What do you try to prove with an outdated video(video from 06/2017, change occured in 08/2017)? That ZOS changed something? That's what we try to tell you....
Second bar trait IS IMPORTANT as Penetration carries over from the bar you are on when the dots hit the target. So your dots will do more damage from a sharpened bow compared to another trait even on the dual wield bar.
Swap Canceling Poison Injection means the “Impact Bar” of Poison Injection is Dual Wield, which increases your dot damage for the whole duration.
If you cast a Beast Trap on your Bow bar but it activates on the DW bar, DW is the Impact bar.
If you cast a Poison Injection while Warhorn ran out and Warhorn gets applied afterwards, dot damage of PI will not increase

no...you never gained the benefit of setbonuses from your DW-bar on your bow-bar. Stop trolling pls...if new players read that they get completely confused.

Yes you did (premorrowind). Pre-morrowind if you barswap canceled poison arrow it scaled off whatever you swapped to. If you were using tfs/spriggans dual weild for example, the damage scaled based on the bar that was impacted. Penetration carried over to the offbar, which is why sharpened weapons were meta for a very long time.
Do you guys just make up opinions and argue them as facts or..?

this only effected penetration from traits...not setbonus (don't confuse this with proccs from sets like tfs...this is still the same)

Oh, a partial admission already? Here's another one. If using 5x tfs body, and automaton jewelry/dualwield, you could impact on dw, move back to bow bar, and continue to gain from the buff to wd. Same with hundings rage. Hell, this STILL continues to work for certain other skills, like trap beast. Ideally, you'd run 1tfs 1auto on your dual weild so that on backbar your impact dots benefitted from 2x 5pc bonuses and your current bar dots benefitted from 2x 4pc bonuses.

NOTHING has changed with that....it is ONLY poison injection which got changed...and for PI it was a buff...

That's what I'm saying! Except I'm arguing PI didn't get a buff. They broke the execute damage for pi in morrowind and added it Hotr. I don't see how it's a buff when it scales back down on your backbar, and looses potentially 2 5pc benefits. If applying your rotation correctly, you still got benefit from warhorn because you'd reapply it during a warhorn eventually, and because warhorn has a high uptime in trials anyway.

At this point i assume you are just trolling...
Oh people your life gonna change after using the quick cast.
I just tried this with both quick cast and targeting ground AoEs on and off. I tested Caltrops and Endless hail well as LL and WoE. All ground based AoEs continued after bar swap and after multiple bar swaps. Both the ground effect as well as actual damage as noted from an addon persisted.
Whatever issue you are experiencing it not an issue with the base game. I did have all addons off except for an addon to see DPS actually happening.
