So, being unable to interact with a banker/vendor because there're 3+ sorc pets are flying around not bothers you? Really?
See, you can't interact with NPCs/objects through these damn combat pets, and you have to walk around awhile to find a point where there's no pet between you and that NPC/object.
Haven't you ever encountered such a situation?

AGAIN: Those pets never stopped me from interacting with any npc or crafting bench. They have no collision and i always could interact with anything in this game even with pets around, also with a couple of sorc pets.

The thing is not about collisions. You can walk through them just like you can walk through other players, yes, there's no collision. The thing is, they're 'not clickable through'. Maybe it depends on camera position settings, 3rd/1st person view, I didn't test it, but the fact that I can't see "E - do something" if there's a sorc's pet/warden's bear between my camera sight and the interactable object is... the fact.
That's why I don't use a bear on my warden. It always stands on the mob's corpse and I can't loot the corpse unless my bear walks away. The same with Hunger summoned by Defiler's set, the same with all summoned pets.

I understand what you and others are saying. It's mostly a question about resources, priorities, and the fact that whenever ZoS changes anything and after every patch, bugs appear everywhere.

In 4 years, I never felt inconvenienced going to a banker or looting some chest because of someone's pets. If there was a pet in front of whatever I wanted to looted, something that might happen once a week, it's not a big deal, move a meter or two to the side and wallah, I get my 1 lockpick and useless green item I'm just going to vendor anyway.

If I missed some random trunk, it makes zero difference as they aren't even worth looting anyway.

This is hardly something that's broke or needs Zos attention with so many other issues in the game.

I am much more concerned that when I fire a volley barrage, sometimes I cant move (new bug introduced this patch). More concerned that I had to quit a Maw of Larkaj Trial last night (new bug introduced this patch). More concerned that I can;t weapon swap properly in cyrodiil (new bug introduced this patch). Heck, I couldn't even get into cyrodiil last night (new bug introduced this patch).

All of these bugs I mentioned were not even things that ZoS touched in the patch notes. So unless something is broke, I'd rather not ZoS try and fix it. And my standards of broke go beyond another player's bear standing in front of one of the hundreds of trunks in a particular zone.

When ZoS actually addresses game-breaking, character-effecting bugs, fixed the terrible lag and FPS performance, then maybe I won't mind if they start looking at options such as this.

Fair enough, I think most of us who want this would agree it's lower priority than game breakers. Which we all agree are too common and widespread.

But is that to say that players should gauge the state of the game and withhold their feedback because there are other, probably more important, issues that need fixing first?

Well, ok, if you say so.
Bar-swap bug doesn't bother me, 'cause I don't have this issue on any of my characters. I don't care about Cyrodiil, I go in IC sometimes but if a queue doesn't work, well, doesn't matter much to me, I can live without PvP for weeks or even months.
I haven't been in any trial yet.
I play ESO for 1 year, and all skills on my 2 templars, 1 DK and 2 wardens have been working just fine all the time (at least, I haven't noticed any serious bugs there).

But I farm trunks, cabinets and such for furniture recipes and other stuff regularly, and pets annoy me quite often because every "random trunk" matters to me (you know, a purple recipe or even an Imperial motif might be exactly in that trunk and I don't want to miss any of them).
Also, when I play a warden with bear, my own bear bothers me all the time, because he prevents me from looting enemies all the time. See, I do dungeons to get stuff there, and bear don't let me get that stuff everytime.

Please, don't tell me that your issues are more important than mine. 'cause I actually understand that. I know that there're a lot of problems in the game (especially now), but I also know (and you know) that they'll never fix the most part of those bugs which exist in the game for ages, but they always will make changes in every part and aspect of the game, and they won't ask neither you nor me what they should do and when they should do it.
Also, you should understand that all those bugs which appear after every patch are not made by a mistake when they made new content or fixed some bugs. All these bugs do appear because they make a lot of changes everywhere in the game (I mean, patch notes are not a full list of changes), they change and fix not just bugs that has been reported, they add not just features that had been requested. The truth is, they make a lot of other changes that they, as a developer, need to make, and we know nothing about that.

And it's not like GinaBruno will see my complains and all entire ZOS personnel will make these changes for me right now. No, not at all. They more likely have different teams for bug fixes and for gameplay improvements (at least, they really should have). Even if they not, they won't quit solving Cyrodiil queue problem to make pets more comfortable ASAP for me.

I go to character menu and dismiss my scamp under active effects where your food buff is etc not all the time but 80% as it even annoys me. If I could quickslot dismiss pets I would but alas no such thing.

You don't need a quickslot for this. We already have PetDismiss add on which creates a keybind to players Character Windows buff. The only thing you need to do is open Controlls [escape] and look up keybind section for add one.

This should also work for those with a game pad like Xbox device or similar.

Cosmetic/Non-Combat Pets: Some are getting bigger, therefore more annoying, so having an option to turn them off would be great.

Class/Combat Pets: As someone who mains a Sorc and does most content solo, having the two pets is great for me. BUT that flying bird thing is too big, blocks everything and is super annoying. I would love it if ZOS could make her smaller or something so she isn't as annoying.

    Hello,

I usually inform "the owner" that their pet's arse in is my face.
They normally respond by telling me that it isn't their pet.

My real pet hate (sic) is the swirling red balls that sound like a toilet that won't stop flushing.
And the swirling blue balls that sound like cannibal drums.
And bears that absolutely must explode on arrival or departure.

    i think that's it.

I don't see pets, cosmetic or combat, as annoying, but would use an option like this. Less things to load = faster the game run.

Meh. I don't mind pets. Fact is they add a fair bit of variety and life to the world.

I would, however, strongly, STRONGLY request that we be given the option to turn off some of the pet sounds.

It's not that I don't like pets that make noises. In fact, the occasional little noises add a little variety and life as well.

No, my problem specifically has to do with certain pets that have a constant, unending, high pitched tinkle sound. It wouldn't even be so bad if it was just an occasional thing, but I can't even use them on any characters that I play more than a few minutes at a time because it's like having a squeaky fan or something running next to you 24/7.

I've never understood "pets" in MMO's. If you are a role player then surely you wouldn't take a "pet" in to a fight or drag it around the world where people just walk through it? You would leave it at home where it would be safe. And if you are not a role player why do you need a "pet" following you around at all?

There should be a pet sanctuary where unwanted pets go to be re-homed. I appear to have some that I never purchased, and don't really want - Am I cruel because I never let them go outside I wonder

Role based companion's, such as the one's aligned with sorcerer's, should remain as that is part of the class, (which is why I don't play a Sorc), even though they are a pain in the rear and I sometimes wish I could chop off their stupid wings to get them out of the way.

I'd vote to turn off other people's merchants and bankers that people can't be bothered to turn-off.
