✭✭✭✭✭DownCorrect me if I'm wrong here, but I think objectively DPS for almost all classes went down. Off balance uptime getting nerfed from around 75% typically in raids to max 25% means that everyone with the exploiter passive (aka every DPS) saw a 5% DPS loss (50% reduction in uptime on 10% damage bonus).
Heavy attack builds were even more affected, since heavy attacks get a 70% bonus against off balance enemies, on average heavy attack damage decreased by about 25%. For builds that see heavy attacks doing 20% of their DPS, this is an additional 5% damage reduction.
And what did we gain in return? 10 blue CPs worth about 1% more damage. The Zaan set seems good, and significantly outperforms Skoria or Grothdarr for Magicka melee builds, but most groups don't even have Magicka melee builds in trials. Mag DK was likely killed by sustain after the flame lash and off balance cooldowns were implemented. Mag Templar got some nice bug fixes to their sweeps and beam scaling, TBD if they can compete with stam for a melee DPS spot with Zaan.
I'm thinking it is about a net 4 to 9% loss for most stam and mag DPS builds. With Magplar maybe breaking even, and MagDK destroyed.Edited by WrathOfInnos on February 18, 2018 12:46AM5 -

Use fire blockade then, in raid bosses will have high burning uptime with few fire spells and enchants so you will get constant 20% more damage. Maybe sorcs won't notice dps increase but Magblade for example no longer needs 75 points in thaumaturge. ✭To be honest it is to early to tell how the dps is in this patch. In general the dps should go down because of the strange off-balance change but also some other things changed e.g templer skills got fixed, attro scales with cp and double resource return on off-balanced bosses

✭✭✭My magsorc gets far better dps at a much lower level with much worse gear than my stamblade. My stamblade dropped about 1-2k dps on a dummy and i noticed a slight decrease in DPS against trash. Dont know if its related to the patch or if its just me.
Magsorc is easy mode though. Hits hard, and tanks like a dream with LA. I toe to toe DLC delve bosses with her at level 8. Havent even come close to dying. Stamblade fights a skeever, dies(sarcasm). Talk about class imbalance.0 -

Jarryzzt✭✭✭✭I have not tested all classes (and do not have all classes/types at 50 to begin with). But.
My Magblade seems to be modestly up. However I had pre-emptively switched to a double-Inferno setup, just before the patch hit, so it isn't quite apples-to-apples (had the standard Inferno-Lightning set-up before). Maybe that's the solution, generically speaking.
My Stamblade seems to be noticeably down, which forced me into emergency-rotation-rebuilding mode to see if I can get back a little of what I had lost.
I did not notice any significant change for my 2H Stamsorc and Pet Magsorc. Actually, Stamsorc may be slightly up, possibly because I use Atronach as my ult (and that got changed in the patch), but I haven't run any dummy tests yet to be sure.
Don't know about other classes. But seeing more Magplars around than before, so there's that.
...As for MagDKs, I wasn't thrilled with mine even before the patch, couldn't settle into a comfortable rotation, though the damage wasn't that bad comparatively speaking. Though now that the off-balance thing is quasi-dead I might try experimenting by blowing up the old skill selection (e.g. less melee more destro, that sort of thing). Can't get worse is what I say...0
