Takes too long to respec. Please allow for selective redistribution.

There's no reason I should have to pay to wipe away every skill/morph I've ever chosen if I change my mind on one. It costs too much, and takes up far too much time. God's forbid you make a mistake and have to pay for a full respec again after, and end up paying 2 or 3 times the cost.

Simple cure would be to make it selective-- you detract from specific skills 1 by 1 and are charged for the price per individual change.

CharDump Addon is a lifesaver for this...Especially when your skill points get reset when a patch goes live. Also, it's good to have as a backup in case you want to play with your spec.

I agree. Reallocating all your skill points just to change one morph or passive is tedious and annoying.

I would make it similar to the Champion Point redistribution system.

I would be fine with some kind of duel spec options in the game that cost money to switch, that way we have have pre-made set ups but we're not ignoring the cost to respec entirely.

It would be nice if you could just pay a flat rate to enter a window where you could adjust (like add or subtract) skills and morphs as needed. Doesn’t seem like it’d be that complicated. Hell you could even charge a bit more for ease of use. Like buying bread from 7/11. It may be 1.50 at the grocery store but I’ll pay the 4 bucks not to have to drive 10 miles drunk to get it.

Cost is neglibable, and not a stress to me nor is the need to move individual things, there are so many points in the game you end up with pretty much everything anyway.

What I WOULD like tho if quick switching. In home only, say mannequin, switch gear, CP, Skills. Would really help the PvE to PvP load out switch

Obvious and well-mentioned idea does not detract from HOW SERIOUSLY HELPFUL this would be.

Who hasn't through the 350 skills and accidentally pressed on an undesired one only to spend another bag of coin and 30 minutes reskilling!

I would revamp the whole thing regarding slotted skills as well. It's inconvenient to want a morph change or swap 1 skill point and have all 12 skills unslotted.

While they are at this kind of change, I would also suggest allowing CP to be changed upwards of the allowed (branch or total) as well, with the required reduction elsewhere obligatory before someone can successfully comfirm the change.
It is so cumbersome to have to reduce CP is several branches so that you can increase another, when simplified you could go through them adjusting at will until you have the distribution you want. Again, to be clear, going over the available limit is temporary and only while editing...

Give an injector (or using the Statue) that makes points flux, so we can make the points permanent. Other games have done this (FE, MxO).

I agree so much for this. But until this exists if you are on PC this add-on is a lifesaver:

It needs to be updated for the latest release but I am sure ayantir will get to it.

Yes, I need this, though I cannot see it happening like this. Perhaps, changes to individual CP, skills and gear may be easier.

I run one character with 6 loadouts:

    1. Overland & Dungeons *
    2. Trials *
    3. Maelstrom Arena
    4. Cyrodiil & Imperial City * #
    5. Battlegrounds
    6. Duelling

(* I sometimes make some skill swaps within the set-up)
(# I sometimes swap to scroll-running gear but only gear and food/drink swapping is required)

Due to not wanting to have to respec everything I use the same Attribution Points for all 6. I also use the same Mundus Stone though swapping is not too hard at my house as I have the 3 I would swap between. I use the same food/drink for each build.
    So the changes are:

    1. POTIONS (pretty easy to swap)
    2. GEAR (specific for each loadout but easy to change; it hurts carried inventory but I keep commonly used gear (loadouts 1, 2, 4 & 6) on my character at all times)
    3. CP (these are individual for each and apart from not being able to go over the limit while editing, it's ok, even though it's 3000 coin each time)
    4. Skills (similar to gear, its easy enough to change)

If there was some way to harmonise these it would have been great. I had ideas of a wardrobe piece or war closet where you walk in and walk out seconds later with the right set-up.

It takes me 5 stressed minutes swapping everything (10 relaxed) and 3000 coin...

when you get up there in skill pts it can get way too costly, especially considering that mistakes are made, and when you have 100+ it's not altogether unbelievable even a competent person might make multiple mistakes in a row

My main is just missing a few skill points while my other 8 characters are probably halfway to that. But the cost I can take. The time and inconvenience bothers me more. (My main is also master crafter in all crafts, so it has a lot of skill points allocated)

I'm not saying they need to make it cheaper, so I don't know why you make your statement as though we are at odds; My point is that the current implementation isineffective int erms of efficiency, and broken in the sense that it can end up costing hundreds of thousands of gold if you make mistakes on repeated attempts. Happened to me once I think I spent 100k+ because I would make an incorrect choice or put too many points in this or that crafting field, or just decide I want to try something new after already going down the usual path.

The point isn't that it's too expensive. The point never was that it was too expensive. The point is that current methods are 100%, objectively, completely and entirely inefficient.

Analysis of potential costs to a player is only one of the many aspects of efficiency.. If they wanted to charge me 5 or 10k just to be able to "remap" my skills, even one just one or two of them-- I would be okay with that, but as it stands it's not only a waste of time, but can result in, presumably unintentional, enormous amounts of gold "sunk"--

Don't get me wrong I understand the need for "gold sinks", but I dont think it should ever be that players find themselves going broke and unable to fund changes because of the inefficiency of the skills system. because of 3 or 4 mistakes committed over the dispersal of hundreds of points. And yes it's anecdotal, but it has happened to me.

The very same 100+k incident I mentioned above. At the end I still had things that needed correcting or changing, and found myself literally without a thousand gold by the end of it. I wasn't a new player at the time, obviously with my couple hundred skill points-- but that doesnt mean I have 100k to throw around. By the end of the ordeal I felt stuck because I still was not happy with the build, and could barely afford to repair my armor. This character was in the same boat, mastercrafter in every field, with all the maxed out skills-- left very little room for branching out combat builds for different scenarios, and even less room for error-- and hence necessitated having 300+ skill points.

Hell, I still don't money like that, and every time I do a respec or spend a skill point, I enter the same sort of stressed out mode that I go into while crafting blue and purple gear with thousands of gold worth of materials per piece- a weird sort of ptsd over having wasted hundreds of thousands in mats in previous crafting sessions...

When I want to respec my Sorc from PvP to a PvE petsorc I only need to change 1 skill, Curse. And holy *** is it frustrating having to reapply the other 50 morphs.

Suggestion: You pay a ‘Redistribute’ fee like you do with the CPs and you get a minus ‘-‘ sign next to any morphed skills to roll them back to the unmorphed version. When you do that, you get the plus ‘+’ sign again which shows you the morph options to choose from when you click it. Easy.

While we’re at it, it’d be great to be able to save 2-3 different CP configs and apply immediately for a cost. For example could use this on my stam DK to switch between PvE DPS, PvE tank and PvP specs instead of fiddling with CPs for 5 mins and invariably forgetting something. Same way you change skills/gear with Dressim Room add-on, or outfits with the outfit system. They can even monetise it by offering one free config and any additional ones can be purchased from the crown store, like they did with outfits.

These would be AMAZING quality of life improvements on the game.

There's no reason I should have to pay to wipe away every skill/morph I've ever chosen if I change my mind on one. It costs too much, and takes up far too much time. God's forbid you make a mistake and have to pay for a full respec again after, and end up paying 2 or 3 times the cost.

After a while cost is irrelevant. The real issue is convenience. And it's dam inconvenient to respec the entire skills list to fix one misclick. The real inconvenience is the lack of character slots to be able to make 3 different types of the same character. One for each PvP. PvE and Trials.
