Why ballista not toxic barrage?

Looking at builds it seems most of not all use ballista when slotting bow ultimate. Is there a reason for this? Looking at my own skills toxic barrage seems to put out much much more damage.

Not sure if it's the reason but it could be because the Ballista is a summon which lets you continue normal DPS rotations whilst it's attacking.

That's it - you cannot bar swap while toxic barrage goes off, otherwise you stop the ultimate.

Yeah the damage increase from toxic barrage pales in comparison to the dps you can output by not being stuck in the channel.

I wish they would change toxic barrage to be toggle ultimate providing a 3rd skill bar just like overload.

Toxic Barrage is not a bad ulti compared to other ultis besides Ballista (the chance to move at full speed while using it is great). But Ballista is too good.

In order to make TB a beter option, it should or increase the dmg, or allow you to use poison arrow during the channel (giving you the chance to execute with poison injection, or interrupt with venom arrow)

Toxic barrage is realistically limited to being good in Xv1, ballista is useful in 1v1 and 1vX.

In addition to locking your character in an animation, Toxic Barrage causes your Hawk Eye passive stack to drop to zero. Genius design, ZOS. SMH.

Why the Ballista animation isn't a small-scale version of an ACTUAL in-game ballista instead of a glowy browser game token is completely beyond me...
