Blade of woe prompt not working

Hi, I would like to report that the prompt for the blade of woe was not working. Me PC EU (Morrowind + Gold edition), my toon has used the blade before but today I was in wrothgar and tried to assassinate an npc the same way it has always worked before but this time the prompt did not come. It looks like a bug. The prompt for pick pocketing the npc worked just fine. I just want u to be aware of a possible bug here. I tried reloading but the blade did not work.

Ok, I completely logged out and then back in and now the blade is working again. Don't know what it was, but just in case for you to know. Thanks

I've had this issue too since the patch. A relog seemed to fix it, tho I have no idea what caused it. PC NA

I can confirm this is also happening to me once in a while. If I press "x" nothing happens. PC, Europe.

might be some "broken" (not updated) addon. have you tried it without them?

I had the same this morning - with a target that HAD to be killed with BoW (Dirdelas) it was working in Upper Ghratwood on the contract but not near the stables on the Litany of Blood target

A total logout fixed it (for now)

Just need to find the target again now

Just had this issue in Rivenspire, I couldn't get the x prompt to appear on any of the npc's. I logged out to char select and back in and it works again. I just hope it doesn't randomly just stop working and force you to log out again and again. PC/NA and I don't have any Add-on's.

Logging out and back in allows the BOW to work for a bit and then it fails again.

My wife sitting next to me has NOT had any issues.

The only 2 things that are different about us so far that I know of are:

1. My warden is using the Animal Companion at the moment. (but putting it away doesn't seem to make a difference.)
2. She has heals/abilities that give me a synergy popup that I sometimes use and sometimes ignore.

I want to test further if this BOW issue is related to Synergies since they messed with them in U17:DB.

I've also had this issue. Logged out/in and it worked. I'm not sure which day it was after the update. I haven't played today to test it.

I've not gotten blade of woe to function properly without much ado since the thing was released. If its not fixed now it never will be.

This I am pretty sure is caused by the new synergy changes. I lose my BOW always after I get another synergy popup whether or not I use the synergy.

I am also having this problem.
It will work for a bit.. I'll go off, maybe do some Dolemens, go back to the same previous location, and it no longer works. Log out/in will fix it, but it'll stop working after a while again.

Any word on this? A couple of my guildmates have been having this problem since the update, though it's working fine for me so far (we're on PS4 NA).

Have had same issues. I noticed that Gold Coast was the number 1 place where Blade of Woe occasionally wouldn't work, though.
