i'm enjoying this new outfit system but i decided not to use it yet.
in all the mixes i tried i always end up with an outfit with those awful floating shoulders ruining it :')

i think that with this system will be very easy for ZOS to give us an option to hide those things.

I'd be happy for this option. I would think you could tie it to the outfit system no problems.

Funny, we actually just had a discussion about this topic on a guild's Discord today.

A couple of guys were complaining about the floating epaulets and this quiet young woman said she doesn't wear them anymore. She keeps a set in her inventory in the rare event she needs them for a dungeon or trial, but for overland content or public dungeons or even non-vet dungeons, she often just runs without them. She even made her outfit without them.

Her theory is that the benefit you get from them actually pretty minor and you can compensate for it with food buffs, heavy torso armor, and other buffs. A lot of people were saying "no, you'll weaken your sets benefits" or "don't try a trial like that." But she said she's even run vet dungeons and forgot to put them on and pulled high DPS.

She gave me a lot to think about since I positively hate the Khajiit shoulders my nightblade has to wear. I might try ditching them for a bit and seeing how things go. I'm definitely not including them on my Khajiit's outfit.

Edit: Of course, the option to hide the shoulders would be better, but until then ...

it's an interesting solution to temporary fix the lack of a hiding option.
in fact, after you mentioned this, i've been noticing a lot of player not using shoulders after the outfit update.
looks like many people don't want to use the floating shoulders.

I noticed that all the Imperial shoulders float above my characters' shoulders. It's not just Imperial, though. A lot of the others do it, too.

You can also use soe of the smallest, least-intrusive and non-floaty shoulders.

I think Argonian 1? Or something like that, they work well.
