Outfit Stations, Costumes, and Hats

Ok, guys, ran into a bit of a problem here. See, one of my characters has the Telvani Wizard Robe costume on, and there is NO option to remove the hat on that one. None. Removed the hat on the regular clothes tab, her hat's still on.

Dunno about the rest o'yas, but if I want to remove a hat in the costume, I'd bloody well like the option to do that. Prior to the outfit station system, simply clicking to remove the helm removed all helms, costume and outfit.

Halp?

Did you try the hide helmet option in collectible-hats?

I surely did. Removes the hat in the regular outfit, does not remove the hat in the costumes.

Aaaand for the next potential question; I removed the hat in the regular outfits/collectibles tab, then I accepted the change. Then I flipped tabs to the costume tab; hat's still on. Stepped out of outfit station, hat's still on. Stepped back in to outfit station, sought desperately for an option to remove hats in costumes ... found nuttin'.

Don't use the outfit station. Just go to Collectibles/Appearance/Hats. The first option is 'hide helm'.

Using the Hide Your Helm Hat under Collections-Appearance-Hats-Hide Your Helm worked to hide the helm on all the costumes I tested, but I don't have the Telvanni Wizard Robe to test.

It worked for me. I left the head slot empty in the outfit ui (as in not the "Hide Helm" not the "No Helm" just right clicked on the helmet box in the upper left and picked "Clear"). Thereafter the chosen costume hat appears and can be removed with the Collectibles Hide Helm activation. Or, rather, swapped to invisible hat from the usual hat.

This is specifically with a character whose costume was Majestic Dune RIder Ensemble with the Winter Garland Broadbrim hat. But I've just tested on her with Centurion Dress Armor (which includes a helmet), and using the Hide Helm hat does hide the hat; putting away the Hide Helm hat restores the helm.

So I suggest clearing the helm slot entirely in the Outfit UI and using Collectibles to switch the various hats on and off.

Now, if there is something specific to Telvanni Wizard I can't help there, I have not unlocked that one.

Just want to add here, since it's as good a place as any, that the crown in the Manimarco costume is still not hideable (it has never fit correctly on khajiit or argonian heads). So, this entire hide helmet move has been a complete balls up afaic; what with forced quick slot/no more hot key and useless for disguises; more broken than fixed.

Mannimarco's Crown was never able to be hidden even with the original Hide Helmet option. That thing is superglued to the costume.

All right, I officially love you guys now. Seems odd they'd put that in a separate location, but ok, I can hide the helm, and it doesn't hide the head piece I have on her.
