So when you're wearing a costume, how does hide helmet work?

Apparently there has been a change. Not sure what is going on now for hide helmets and costumes.

I hope it will be possible. I have at least 4 wearing costumes with helms hidden. It'll suck if I can't do that anymore, and make costumes worthless.

under collectibles is the normal hide helmet selection, under hats. the one at the outfit station pertains to the outfit only.

This doesn't apply to costumes you have to actually equip, like for certain quests. Not sure what the deal with that is, but it completely wrecks some costumes for me.

You're talking about disguises. Costumes you have to equip during a quest are referred to as disguises.

That's part of my problem. Why did they do that? I don't buy polymorphs or much anything from their crown store, so that's not really an option. And until today I had a few "disguises" I actually liked the look of if not for their stupid-looking helmet (Fort Amol disguise anyone?). And others actually hid vampirism.

If we can't hide the helmet of disguises anymore, does that mean we're stuck with one of these options if we don't want to touch the crown store?

As it has already been said. Go to Collections, go to appearance, go to hats, hide helmet. Works the exact same was it has always done just moved from settings into collections.

Read the thread again. Hide Helmet no longer works on disguises. This is what we're complaining about.

Considering they're called "disguises", that's probably a good thing. After all, it kind of defeats the purpose of wearing a disguise if you're the only Stormtrooper in the area not wearing the full face covering helmet.

I thought they changed that for disguises a long time ago. Before we had dyes I used a disguise and then after one update I couldn't hide the helmet.

But now we have dyes I don't have to put up with some of the ridiculous colour schemes.

Though it came as a shock to see the monster helms again, I'd forgotten what they looked like

Not everyone wants to look at a helmet when using a disguise. I can point out some really ugly looking ones (the Fort Amol horned helmet being a good example) too.

This recent update narrowed the options for disguises. (There was a chunk of text here about a disguise going missing, but that was my doofus self not realizing the disguises were marked as junk years ago to avoid accidental selling of them).

But right now this doesn't look good for those of us that actually like disguises as a free alternative to crown store costumes or polymorphs.

There is now a specific option to hide Ploymorph helmets. (On the PC it's Esc/Settings/Gameplay/Hide Polymorph Helmet)

Unfortunately it doesn't work on Disguises. It would be good to have an option to hide their helmets too.

Hide armor helmets at outfit stations.
Hide costume helmets in collections.
Hide polymorph helmets in settings/Gameplay.

Why the hell they put the same feature three different places, I have no idea.

Shouldn't have been to hard to preset characters based on what they were set at before either. Then again, on second thought, I can think of about 1.9 million ways they may have messed that up as well.
