Company trust - How much do you trust ZOS?

When making business decisions, companies often only take income and active player numbers into account. Their reputation is often not even being accounted for as it is hard to measure or (falsely) being derived from sale numbers, but let's try it anyway.
On a scale from 1 to 10, how much would you say you trust Zenimax Online Studios?

Edit: Ignore the typo at #1. I can't change it anymore.

They are an American company - does anything else need to be said, except that they are not in the same league as EA!

    I trust ZOS a lot.

Game development wise I am fully on board with them, they make some frustrating changes but I normally adapt or have some understanding of why they're doing them and where they're trying to take the game. It's also easy to see that ZOS and the people working there have a passion and love for making ESO, to them it's not about the money but the game they're making.

Zenimax Media wise I am less happy, but they've done well so far to not harm the core game too much from business choices. I also put more of the blame here on the general corporate culture of US publishers. Especially as it's shown in recent choices regarding other Zenimax Media title and not just ESO.

I distrust ZOS in the same way I learned to distrust companies like SOE (RIP) and EA.

With that said, I think 99.9% of ZOS is amazing. It is an incredibly talented studio at almost every level. Even most of the engineering is amazing. My criticism of ZOS is purely directed at its leadership and business decisions.

Don't think it is fair to hint that by being an American company that implies they are bad....a lot of companies around the world are inept, greedy or both.

I voted a 4, because in my four months of playing I've witnessed more bugs with this game than any other. And though I am happy to buy items I like from the crown store, I suspected the game is designed around pushing folk towards crown purchases, either by making the in-game equivalent expensive to obtain, slow to get or non-existent, and both the outfit system and housing storage proves it.
What that means for future content remains to be seen.

So, no, I don't "trust" this company.

This is a company that has shown time and time again that they don’t care much about their player base, but more so about how much money their player base can give to them. Why in the world would I trust them?

Like? I mean I know ZOS has a bumpy track record but come on that statement isn't true at all.

If it was this would be SWTOR or any other no content all cash-shop MMO/Game. They put out content like crazy which is for the most part good quality and fantastic writing. Yes there is greed within the Crown Store but it's not like they only produce for that at the expense of the game.

Business is business, that's the unfortunate truth. The trick is to make as much money as you can without pissing off too many of your costumers.

I trust ZOS not to murder me in my sleep when I decide to stop paying for their stuff.

Like other people in my life. I only trust them, as far as i can throw them. The same applies to ZOS. More so actually because ZOS is a business. And as we all know, a business is all about making money, and not friends. So yeah.

I probably trust them more then some other gaming companies but trust is still a strong word. They want my money and it just comes down to what they are willing to do to get it.

    4.
Before this Dr.Bones release, I would have voted for 5-7, maybe even 8, which would have meant that they are good, and I mostly trust them, but they're not the best. But now, seeing all this mess with bugs and issues, I recall all these overpriced stuff in CS, crates, strange decisions on skills and sets balancing, new features going to be rather a monetizing tools than gameplay improvements...
Well, I'm quite upset and dissapointed now, so this "4" might be not fair actually, but for now I can't give them more.
One of the two of us definitely has gone mad. It only remains to define whether this one is the whole world or just me.

I used to be around 8 but then crown crates came out and i dropped to 5. If the next chapter comes out with limited content like morrowind did then consider my vote a 2.

ZOS has a great game. But their focus shifted from playable content to buyable content and im starting to get worried that it will cause eso to fade away sooner rather than later

the bad impression they made on EU-community will stamp them for a long time
though I enjoyed much of my time playing here since the Beta (!), now it got somehow a knick, a shot in the knee

and I am not quite sure if it is worth putting more money in this game
cauze atm it looks like ZOS has reached their outer limits
and we are on a downbound train

sounds sad, but in this very moment I feel like this

@Golevan @Axoinus @Lord_Dexter This poll is to provide feedback to ZOS about how their decisions effect their reputation. My plan was to repeat this poll after the next major content update to see if anything changed about the opinion of the player base.

You're going to have to define "Trust" as it relates to the word "Company". The context is quite different from say, trusting your neighbor.

    Started around 7-8.

Now it's a 4-5, thanks to the crown crates, Morrowind paid expansion for ESO+ members, the outfit-slot mess & the EU crap that happend yesterday (and happens about every update).

But I'm still playing tho. Liking and playing a game doesn't mean trusting the ones who develop it (I'm looking at you, NCSoft.)

    I seem to like suffering.

Riot games (League of Legends company, based in NA) was making the exactly same mistakes as ZoS, including development mistakes, bad business model decisions and bad customer treatment. Then they got bought by Chinese giant Tencent. Tencent completely reworked Riot's business model and their game started growing rapidly to the point where LoL became the most streamed game.

Take whatever you want from this information.

Not as bad as EA or Activison though that isnt much of a complement, regardless i wouldnt trust them to run a warm bath never mind doing the right thing as far as the game goes.

If ZOS did that it would just be the same names telling them how much they suck every time because they're so bitter about everything ZOS does but not yet ready to move on.

ZOS knows how things effect their company, they know yesterday doesn't look good for them. However they also worked like crazy to get issues sorted, that's all overlooked though by the fact an issue happened.
I would rather judge by how someone reacts to events than the events themselves, as it's inevitable poop will hit the fan sometimes.
