Outfit station issue - known motifs not transferring across to all characters

my crafter know most motifs but when i try to change my outfit on a different character, thethat character only has access to motifs that they know? I thought motif knowledge would be shared across all chars????

So I have to log on first with my crafter, or my alts won't have any motif knowledge at all.4 -

✭My styles are spread across 8x toons - do I need to log into each first before all the styles become known?
Despite the gold cost, I guess I could learnt to enjoy this system - guess it does provide me with something worthwhile to grind gold for now

I think you would need to log onto all of your toons, yes.
According to the patch notes (I bolded a portion for emphasis):
"As this Outfit Style knowledge is an account-wide collectible, learning how to craft helms in the Glass style (for example) on any character allows you to use that to override the appearance of the helm slot of any Outfit on any of your characters.
These style collectibles are retroactively unlocked for all the styles you already know how to craft after logging in with a character with the associated Motif knowledge."0 -
