Will I be compensated my 1 lost day of ESO+ for the server being down all day today? That is the least the members deserve to be honest. You know all this should be done before hand, how can you have 1 server down more than the others for the same updates? (PC EU server)

"compensation".
That being said, I think ESO+ should be paused on any server downtime.
These ESO+ members compensations are cancer guys. They should compensate verybody, not just ESO+ members. I'm not ESO+, but I spend money on this game too when I feel like.

You might not get the point. It's not that we can't play the game, but that we paid for playing the game. Granted 16 hours isn't that much (30 cents sounds about right), but it's more of a principle. They messed up and we don't get what we paid for. Would be nice to get something for that.
$15 per month. Average 30 days in month.
So what is that like? $.50 per day? $.02 per hour?

What a monumentally stupid assumption.Just goes to show what sort of company they are. A well run company will always offer a generous gesture of good will for the lost time regardless of T&C

Do you ask your mechanic to pay you because you can't drive while they're fixing your car?

As you sad, the monetary side of this isn't even worth mentioning. Even if I was ESO+ I would worried much more that I can't play for the whole day.

I don't know if you've realised but they are 2 different sectors. Fortunately, I don't need a car to play a game on PC. We are currently talking about gaming.

Nobody claims compensation based on terms of service so always bringing this up shows that people simply don't understand. They might not be legally required to give any kind of compensation, but that doesn't mean they can't or shouldn't give compensation.
If customers can't use a product because the company made a mistake i would say it is a pretty common business practice to offer some kind of compensation to avoid bad PR/reviews or even losing customers, depending on the severity.
Whether they decide to give compensation or not is of course something the company has to decide, but outright denying it because of some terms of service would be stupid.
