"Oooh! Look at me. I'm an ESO billionaire because all I do is farm XYZ and sell it in the guild trader market 24/7. I don't even play the game. I just want to be rich."
There are too many worthless grinds in this game as it is. Obtaining upgrading materials is one of them. Now, you want to increase the difficulty in obtaining motifs more than the nerf that is forthcoming? Why not fight for something that benefits all?

"Yes it is. I can easily have 150k a week doing basically nothing, jsut playing casually. " -- Comments like this are total B.S. You have to work at it to obtain this much a week. You either work at it by guild trader trader sales or selling to players via zone chat. I know. How? Because I casually play all the time and I barely make half of that a week. Every time I vendor stuff, I make roughly 2K gold on average. I don't vendor everything because deconstructing items rewards upgrade materials faster than refining raw materials.

It’s in the first set of PTS patch notes ... located here:

Crafting Motifs
With the release of the Outfit System, we've adjusted the drop rates for a number of Crafting Motifs to help ensure certain impressive or prestigious Motifs retain a degree of rarity.
Right... still not idea what the "reduction" is... so for many, it would be 0. Literally. It can take a MONTH (not joking or exaggerating) to get a single page drop. Lower that any further and it's not in the game anymore, I don't care what ZOS says.
It is known for now, that already known styles on your main/crafter will be avaliable on your alt. Why tho? It makes no sense, considering that all achievments are not account wide. Fact itself that the system is not even that pricy, why not making ur alt require to know certain styles u want? While casual side would get hit, motifs would get far more demanded therefore gold could become more valuable. So far, gold is totaly worhtless and way to easy to obtain.

@Getern You know what? If ZOS will ever do that, I hope they will do two more changes:
1. You can't put any gold in your bank, you have to have it on your toon.
2. The gold on your toon has an 500k hard cap. If you have more at the time the change go live, you will lose it without any compensation.
There you are. These changes together... I would support them, just to screw with you.
