Yes it is. I can easily have 150k a week doing basically nothing, jsut playing casually.

Clearly your casual skills are subpar . When I basically do nothing , I earn basically nothing . Step up your laziness .

I'm not sure how people say gold is hard to come by, unless they are spending everything they get, instead of saving, and are not questing.

Yes, when I started out on my first character, reaching 10k to buy a horse seemed to take ages. But by questing, picking up every piece of rubbish I found and selling it to NPC vendors, I got there and just kept going.

From there I stuck with making my own armour, glyphs, food and potions instead of buying them, hardly spending on anything other than armour repairs. I had over a million gold before I ever joined a guild or sold anything to another player.

Why is it there is always that segment of players that want to inflict more frustration upon the other players to fatten their "fake money" bank accounts in a "virtual world" with no impact on their "real world" wealth?

"Oooh! Look at me. I'm an ESO billionaire because all I do is farm XYZ and sell it in the guild trader market 24/7. I don't even play the game. I just want to be rich."

There are too many worthless grinds in this game as it is. Obtaining upgrading materials is one of them. Now, you want to increase the difficulty in obtaining motifs more than the nerf that is forthcoming? Why not fight for something that benefits all?

You either work at it by guild trader trader sales or selling to players via zone chat. I know. How? Because I casually play all the time and I barely make half of that a week. Every time I vendor stuff, I make roughly 2K gold on average. I don't vendor everything because deconstructing items rewards upgrade materials faster than refining raw materials.

Are you for real? This must be a troll post, no way in hell should we have to buy absurdly priced motifs on the crown shop for every char we have just because you want to sell motifs you loot for more gold.

Which no one is going to do anyway. If it's too expensive most people just won't bother with it (unless of course someone has far more gold and/or money than they know what to do with and just want to engage in conspicuous consumption). Seems to me like someone with way too much gold who just wants something as exclusive as possible for themselves that most of the player population is effectively shut out of. (What else do they want - for crafted set items to be bound the moment they're created and not even be bankable so that each toon you want to be able to wear a given set in a given style has to have researched the traits necessary to create it AND have learned the motif for that style?)

The one thing I really don't like about the new system is that it costs gold just to dye your outfit. If you only have to pay the first time you dye a slot that it would be acceptable but if you have to pay each and every time you want to change a color then I am definitely not going to be at all thrilled with that.

As it is for a number of my characters I'm just going to have most of slots of their outfit be empty as they're already wearing stuff crafted in the style that I want (though I'll finally be able to hide/replace those ugly monster shoulders). Thankfully I didn't have to learn those motifs for each character I wanted to use them on
This creature called a songbird. What a devious creation! This winged nuisance erodes sanity with its incessant chirping. What a brilliant form of torture!

I am frustrated because the game with every single patch makes it easier for ppl, always. Something u gotta waste days on obtaining, now are easy to get (examples: Agility/Briarheart). I want you to work for something in that game, that hard to understand? Everything is obtainable in matter of a single day, that disgusts me. Yes, I am aware some of u are "slow" and its doesnt work in ur case.

Another thing I am offended by accusing me of being filthy casual. The only time I loot motif, was when I got it meanwhile quest or character grind.

150K a week post wasnt mine, but I totally agree with that. Maybe its just me being in a right place, but there is always something decent looting. Although 10k a day is no brainer. Do all craft daylies, pledges and u are almost there.

If Gold is really that easy to collect, y'all need to share the wealth instead of throwing it away haha or at least tell me what you're doing to make bank! I may have a few crown store items but my Characters themselves are broke as a ****ing joke!! LBS perhaps I should read more online guides or watch some instructional YT videos idk...

It’s in the first set of PTS patch notes ... located here:

    https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/388819/pts-patch-notes-v3-3-0/p1

    Crafting Motifs
With the release of the Outfit System, we've adjusted the drop rates for a number of Crafting Motifs to help ensure certain impressive or prestigious Motifs retain a degree of rarity.

Right... still not idea what the "reduction" is... so for many, it would be 0. Literally. It can take a MONTH (not joking or exaggerating) to get a single page drop. Lower that any further and it's not in the game anymore, I don't care what ZOS says.

I don't understand this premise of "retain a degree of rarity" - just where was this flood of motifs supposed to come from?

As far as I know there's only two places to get motifs - as drops and in the crown store.

So they can only mean that there will be more motifs in the system because more people will be farming motifs because more people want them.

But that wont increase one person's chance of getting a drop.

By reducing the drop rate they will increase the rarity for each farmer, and increase the grind for motifs. Which is exactly what they want because if you aren't interested in the two new dungeons then all that this DLS gives you is that grind for motifs.

It is known for now, that already known styles on your main/crafter will be avaliable on your alt. Why tho? It makes no sense, considering that all achievments are not account wide. Fact itself that the system is not even that pricy, why not making ur alt require to know certain styles u want? While casual side would get hit, motifs would get far more demanded therefore gold could become more valuable. So far, gold is totaly worhtless and way to easy to obtain.

    Share the secret, Daddy Warbucks

On five toons, doing 4-6 writs each day you make over 100K for 30m of chores. And you almost always get enough surveys that you never have to pay for materials. It’s worth maxing those skill lines (just the material usage ones and maybe the blacksmith helper who will give you a temper or two) even on alts you’ve parked.

I don't think this is a good idea, and no I'm not a casual.I just don't want to waste time when I could be doing other things other than farming motifs or farming things to sell to get them.Farming is kind of boring.

@Getern You know what? If ZOS will ever do that, I hope they will do two more changes:

    1. You can't put any gold in your bank, you have to have it on your toon.
    2. The gold on your toon has an 500k hard cap. If you have more at the time the change go live, you will lose it without any compensation.

There you are. These changes together... I would support them, just to screw with you.
