How about making Outfit system more taxing?

It is known for now, that already known styles on your main/crafter will be avaliable on your alt. Why tho? It makes no sense, considering that all achievments are not account wide. Fact itself that the system is not even that pricy, why not making ur alt require to know certain styles u want? While casual side would get hit, motifs would get far more demanded therefore gold could become more valuable. So far, gold is totaly worhtless and way to easy to obtain.

1. ZOS has already planned to reduce the drop rate of motifs across the board for this Monday ... which is in the PTS patch notes. This is in response to the anticipated reduction in motif demand. You'll still need motifs on each character to craft gear in a certain style ... not necessarily for yourself but for others who don't have the motif learned.
2. The outfitter isn't cheap if you're mixing in rare motif styles. One outfit overlay can be 10k or more in gold depending on the motif style you're using. Now multiply that by the number of characters (or additional outfit slots) you have. Now we're in the hundreds of thousands of gold. I agree gold is easy to obtain ... but your comments are a little too cavalier about how much the outfitter actually costs.22 -

✭Is this serious? Yes gold is easy to get if you actively go grind gold or spend TIME gathering mats, etc. For most casual players that only have little time to log in, maybe level, maybe do 2 dungeons with friends, it's not that easy to get. Most of my friends don't have more than 75k gold.
And the outfit system shouldn't be exclusive for veteran players or the ones that have time to grind gold.32 -

Reduce to what? 0? Non-existent? For most motifs it is exceptionally rare to get even a single page now. I'm glad I've collected all of them on my main but still, I want achivements for better writs on my alts. It's pulling teeth without novocaine now to get ANY pages, much less one you need!

Motifs drop to nothing by the time the next DLC has been out for a few weeks anyway. Find something else to farm.1 -
