Prepaid VISA cards and subscriptions/crowns

I've been using prepaid visa cards for all of my online game subscriptions, including ESO. Recently, I get nothing but errors when I use them. Have prepaid VISA's gotten nerfed?

It has to be the kind that has an expiration date like a real credit card the last time I read how it works.

Also, once it's messed up it tends to stay that way.

Yes, it has an expiration date and number and even CCV code. I've been using them for years and now suddenly they fail. I've tried two different cards with the same results. It doesn't even help if I register the card with the same information in my profile (address, name, etc).

I've always used a prepaid card as well: American Express (Blue Bird). But I haven't used the card directly in a while, what I do is link the prepaid card to my PayPal account and use PayPal to make the purchase. My sub doesn't need re-upping until later this month so I can't check if there is an issue though. So if you can't get your card to work then maybe try linking it and using PayPal?

For those who have the same problem, attaching the prepaid credit card to a paypal account and then paying through paypal works like a charm. It's a shame you need the extra step, but at least there's a solution.
