And ive seen dual welding healers that was just doing dps and only healing when HIS health was low...
Me i run resto and destro (fire or light ) depending on what magica dps has , so i can heal use ele drain and use Elemental Blockade to increase DPS between healing.
Im actually thinking of using ice staff just for "Wall of Frost reduces enemy Movement Speed and immobilizes chilled enemies."

Yea, lightning staff with blockade procs offbalance and concussed though, greatly improving your group's damage. The ice staff blockade may slow/root enemies but it wont really provide much benefit to the team. Also, plenty of warden tanks run ice staff at least as a back bar now and are proccing the slow/immobilize on their own, and typically if you're not running with a warden tank you'll have a dragonknight tank using talons instead.
I've been considering swapping my templar's backbar lightning staff to a fire staff instead to slightly boost my own dps, but only for pug dungeon runs and soloing where I cant really count on the rest of the team to know what they're doing.

yhea exactly anything to help out with DPS its always a good thing , I haven't actually seen people running ice staff that is why i wanted to try it out ( god knows i have so many VMSA ice staff and not 1 lighting damm it) however as most tanks are DK's you are right about talons they do use it , but to help with crowd control i was thinking of ice we shall see its only for vet dungeons anyway not trials lol
