Very rarely. I don't play PVP enough or well enough to get hate there. But the few hate whispers I have had have come from people angry I was giving werewolf bites for free, I assume they were sellers. But what can you do

I get 90% fewer tells in cyrodiil than I used to. Still a few, but it's much more rare. Even in situations where I walk away expecting to be salted, nothing comes most of be time. I think I'm barely noticeable or memorable, even to people I wreck. Suits me just fine.

Yes, usually when I'm playing my werewolf sorcerer in Imperial City.

Also, whenever there's time in Cyrodiil I emote at defeated bunny-hopping opponents, especially those using the 360-degree attack and other "features". This nearly guarantees hate.

In all my time playing, It's happened only once and at the risk of sounding like a Drama Queen, I was so distraught I actually reported the guy... I'm typically a genuinely nice person but I suppose I said something revealing about a storyline I had not yet completed while making a Joke about an NPC Character in Zone Chat... Then some random, I don't even remember the name started flaming me, calling me all kinds of profanities, accusing me of ruining other peoples experience and just would not stop. Oh, the irony... Never had anything like that happen before or since... And I eventually finished the Quest and it ultimately had nothing to do with what I said... So, yeah. **** that guy.

The neat part is most block you so you can't respond. Typical cowards imo

What is funny is the few that let you respond end up being very friendly after you admit being bad. They try and help with tips. ESO player base cracks me up at times. To go from being full of hate to offering to help all within 30 seconds

I received hate whispers from a guildmaster when I posted my two cents regarding increasing fees for a sub-par, 2nd row kiosk location in the guild chat . This was probably warranted though since it was ensued after being kicked from the guild, and me sending him a subtle "Lol" whisper. He proceeded to tell me that he would ensure I was never in any other trading guilds in the game, and then have the nerve to say... "Oh wait, you're already not. I just checked"... heh. Funny, since I was selling in the two kiosks in front of this guild in Wayrest at that very moment, haha. Some people.

I play a BombBlade. Does anyone out there play a BombBlade and not get hate whispers? It’s like a requirement, I think.

Usually they come when someone is mad they died. Or, the complete opposite, when I’m just messing around completely flop on my bomb. Lots of time people laugh with me. Sometimes they’re harsh. All the time, I keep doing my thing.

I've never sent a hate tell to a bomber. I have sent laughing tells after bomb-fails, because that is funny as hell for everyone involved. I've also congratulated after particularly successfully bombs.

Maybe once or twice for stealing someones node in craglorn.... Doesn't happen much in this game. Warcraft is like 90% hate whispers, 10% raiding/arena.

Yes. The foremost reason: I'm playing a darker skiined human toon or a female toon and some people in the ESO community think that's an invitation to spew racist or sexist garbage at me. When i had my dark-skinned female Imperial I would get dual sexist/racist msgs. Says volumes about this community. And if I report them, what do i get? An email from ZOS telling me how to put someone on my ignore list. It's delightful.

Also, if any ZOS eyeballs see this: since you aren't going to do anything about the hateful MRA/Daily Stormer/Pepe trash in the community, you could at least double--scratch that--quadruple the number of people we can add to our ignore lists because mine's done full up.

Never got a "hate" whisper, personally...Probably because I never PvP.

I did have a "DPS in a rush" yell at me when I was learning to tank with my other 2 friends whom I've gamed with forever. Since we always play the same roles in all the games, we decided to try swapping roles for fun and playing roles we normally don't. Tank rolled a healer, Healer rolled DPS, and I started a tank. Was pretty funny a few times when the healer forgot he wasn't a tank anymore and pulled.

Anyways, since we're all learning new roles (characters are around level 28) we basically just queue for random dungeon. We get a dungeon and as we're typing that this is a "Training" run, the other DPS just takes off and starts killing stuff. Well, the 3 of us are on Discord so we can communicate what needs to happen and what I need to look for when tanking. We take our time before starting, DPS rushes in and promptly dies to the boss. He resses and yells at me for not taking aggro. I basically said back to him that his assigned role wasn't tank, so he shouldn't be pulling. He told me my character name, "tryingtotank" fit me and he promptly left the group. Replacement DPS we got was MUCH better and we continued with no further issues.

You just reminded me of what happened a few days ago. I was healing a 4-man PUG, and one DPS decided he was going to be a "hero" and ran ahead of the group and pulled a bunch of mobs. He was down to maybe 30% health by the time I caught up with him and rescued him. LOL. Would have served him right if he'd died, but I'm sure he would have blamed me.
Yeah, all you self-appointed heroes who want to run ahead ... you'd better have a good heal slotted.

I never got a hate whisper, ever. And I've been PvPing in and out for the last 3 years. It's probably because I don't teabag (*ahem* except once...) and don't do stuff that's considered broken... IDK.

The only whisper I ever got from an enemy was after a group of three of them killed a group of us, and I was trying desperately to rezz up one of my companions, instead of fighting them

It was more of an funny comment, something like "It could have changed everything if you could have got that rez", to which I responded, "I'm a healer, team is always first :P"
