While this isn't PvP specific, I know that a lot of PvP players are paying rather significant amounts of money for 25-32 slot TeamSpeak servers. That money can be better spent buying crowns, or beer for @Crown if you meet him IRL!

If you are technically inclined and have about 20 minutes to spare, you can set your own server up on a free instance of AWS with a free license that works up to 32 slots.

I've written up a preliminary guide intended for people with basic Linux skills at https://darkelves.com/teamspeak-servers/

If anyone wants to run through it and give suggestions / corrections / optimisations please do! I've tested my own instructions, though having done this more times than I want to remember I've probably oversimplified a few steps..

    Nice! Our paid TS server went down during prime time last fall, and I was able to set up a temporary back up server in short order -- had an existing Azure account, and ended up going the Windows VM route. I'll try to find some time to give your instructions a run through on a Linux VM.
