Okay, I'll give you an example of support role entitlement. I main a tank and have played a healer. When I queue up for groupfinder, if I don't have my queue pop in about 30 seconds. I get worried. I start wondering if groupfinder is broke or not working properly for me. At two minutes of waiting, I'll leave queue and try again. Usually that works.

Slightly more seriously, is it too much to ask that when my healer is buffing the group, debuffing the dungeon boss, throwing in a bit of DPS AND healing the group...that I don't have to tank the boss as well? (At least without being asked. Ask me to be the healer/tank beforehand and I'll be happy to.)

When I'm the healer and I'm healing, buffing, debuffing, dpsing, and tanking the boss, someone's getting carried in this run and its not me.

I mainly tank and I am not sure where the feeling of entitlement comes in? My issue is the same as the healer above, where a DPS que's as a healer to get in faster and then I find myself spending most of my time healing myself and then running around trying to keep agro. Against just trash mobs its no biggie, but when I hit certain bosses and I find it happening I will either vote to kick the fake healer and if that doesn't happen I drop group. If that is what you mean by me feeling entitled then HELL YEAH I feel entitled.

Tanking and healing tends to be a very selfless role. I see a lot more whiny entitled brat dps than support roles.

However ive also come across quite a few healers that throw a fit when they have to do more than heavy attack and spam mystic orb or healing springs, so I can see where it happens on occasion.

I main a tank and the only thing I really feel entitled to in group dungeons is that I have the only taunt in the group. If I have a DPS or healers taunting the boss off of me (usually ice staff heavy attack, but there's was once I had a DPS using Puncture), then I will let that person know that they are taunting the boss.

Usually it goes smoothly. That person didn't really want boss aggro anyway and everyone understands that the boss getting taunt immunity is a bad thing for the group.

But if you continue to taunt...I feel more than entitled to let you tank it. Have fun. I'm going to have fun watching you.

I didn't know role playing worked like that in this game. There are support role players? Does that mean there are 'star' role players and a back stage crew too? Maybe a director and a script writer? I'm sure there are camera people somewhere; Open Broadcaster is free after all...

Entitlement? No. Scarcity, yes...

There's a WHOLE lot more DPS players than there are Tanks and healers. It's always been this way for dungeon queues. This is also why I never queue alone as DPS. I always run with my buddy that plays a healer, and when he wants to DPS, I log in with my tank. It's always insta-queue for us. Most of the time it's us queuing as a Tank-Healer duo. That was I know I'll have good heals, and he doesn't need to worry about agro.

This is true for all MMO, ESO is hit harder because of 2 DD in group, Note you can farm or quest while waiting.
