Force Game Crash using keyboard on Xbox

Pressing Ctrl + V (pasting) on text chat will instantly cause the game to crash. This only happens when the clipboard contains nothing.

I believe this causes an endless loop and forces the game to run out of memory.

You may want to try plugging the keyboard into a different USB port on the Xbox One and see if still crashes when using the paste shortcut. Do you have a second keyboard you could test the paste shortcut on? Power-cycling the console and re-installing could also help resolve the crash.

    Power cycle an Xbox One:
    1. Turn off the console by holding the [Xbox button] on the front of the console for approximately 10 seconds. The console will power down.
    2. Disconnect the power cable from the back of the console. After 30 seconds reconnect the power cable to the back of the console.
    3. Turn the console back on by pressing the [Xbox button] on the console or the [Xbox button] on the controller

    Uninstall and Reinstall the Game

To uninstall a game on your Xbox One, follow the steps found here.

Once complete, you can reinstall the game from your library.

Have you tried to reproduce this error on your end (on xbox)? I've tried it with 3 keyboards and different xboxs, same bug. My guildies also encounter this error.

    On Xbox

    Steps to reproduce:
    1. Log in toon
    2. Press Enter key to open text chat UI
    3. Press Ctrl + V

This will cause the game to crash. If a text has been copied to clipboard, then this error will not occur.

If it helps....while this may always cause the game to crash, using smart glass seems to omit this issue.

Essentially the memory would be on the smart device rather than the Xbox.
Hope that tip helps you and the Guildies....it does require another device but to me in all games, the usb keyboard and chat pad lack typical functionality anyways.
