Its kind of a strech but im tryn out new dk builds and i wanted confirmation before i went and spent gold on necropotence

    Nope.

    It's just a little fireball that spins around and shoots at a random target every few seconds.

    Nope!. I don't think fireballs are considered pets, and I also think there is a good reason to why no magDk ever runs necro.

    That'd actually be a good idea. Summon a sprite (?) from oblivion to shoot a fireball at your opponent. Much better theme wise than a floaty ball of snooze.

    On a more unrelated note, Ball of Lighting counts as a pet and does proc Necro for 2.5 seconds

    It's strange to me that DK and Templar are the only ones who don't get to run Necromancer. You'd think that they would at least have one skill that would count as a "pet" in order for all the classes to be afforded the same gear.
    Want to enjoy the game more? Try both PvP (crybabies) and PvE (carebears). You'll get a better perspective on everyone's opinion.

    You can go test it on the PTS. Otherwise, I'm not putting necropotence on my MagDK to test if a temporary fireball counts as a pet.

    I would laugh if it did count...Though i would think it's a very unlikely outcome.
