A very important question about... ZAAN.

Im curious if this set just put the final nail in the coffin of solo pvp. I want to paint a picture here for anyone who reads this...

So Im on my stam warden, or stam dk, or whatever, running around cyrodil. I encounter 3-4 mid range cp, not so experienced, players. One hits me with a CC while his/her friends start attacking me. Then all 4 of their zaan sets proc on me at the same time. I die. Then i am ruthlessly bagged by players that i could normally kill with no issue and xxxposed via youtube, redit, and everywhere else. And then i will always be known as someone that needs to git gud. This fear has been keeping me up at night for weeks now and caused me to lose my job and girlfriend.

So my question here is this; can more than one zaan be on you at the same time? Someone please tell me the answer is no. Because if the answer is yes, well then i guess il be getting xxxposed alot in the dragon bones update.

well thats just great. and sadly my zaan wont be able to beat their zaanS. This is a problem. Well i guess now ill make a rage post begging the devs not to make such a STOOOOPID decision with this set.

Yep, if Zaan goes live as is be prepared for a further influx of mag DKs.

has anyone tried this on the pts? i mean you would have to go into pvp and have 2+ people wear it to test this. If anyone wants to know HMU ill go on to test it.

First of all - you are on a stam build!
Since when a CC is a problem for stamina builds?
If you get CC-ed then Brake it Free and use your free Vigor!
Also Zaan ticks are small at the beginning - use your stam-mobility to brake the beams! (are you sure you play Stam Warden?)

IDK man Zaan indeed is a big problem - but not for stamina builds.
The classes that already struggle with mobility or stamina sustain will have hard time with Zaan. Stamina builds can go along very well with it.

Just don't panic! - StamWarden still over-performs Zaan set!

Zaan is a lot better after the latest changes. I don't think it'll be a problem. Many may choose to use a different monster set in pvp. I'd be more concerned with Caluurion’s Legacy.

If you're a glass cannon that can't run away from the beam's range then yeah, go ahead and keep worrying.

If you're a shield stacker or a sword and shield half-tank that can just turn all the damage into a tickle, I dunno why you're worrying to begin with.

Well, this is assuming people have zann. I would not expect a lot of pvpers have that set right away. Might be a non-issue (at first.)

But in the original question-- Can you have several zann procs on you at the same time?

My guess is yes.

So? Imagine the same situation with Valkyn Skoria. You would also die. Or does Valkyn Skoria not proc from multiple sources on the same target.

Zaan remindes me about that set, which was called a cancer set for pvp, which sucked the health of the enemy also with a beam (can not remember the name of it now).
I think it got nerfed at the end.

and also, stamina builds just can dodge roll out of the radius of that beam

You can guard your Zaan-DK friend that keeps your enemy in place while soulassaulting for a quintuple beam.

Requisition to farm doesnt balance sets. Especially when you can buy this set from the weekend vendor sooner or later. Doesnt matter if you get zaan'd in february or March.

Thanks for the input, my concern was multiple zaans hitting one person in pvp though but i watched the video nice.

i think you're wrong here. Any mag class with a ward will simply stack shields until the proc is over. The only thing a stam build can do is what you're saying ; use mobility to get away. And thats fine, i appreciate the tips. All im saying in this thread is that IF this can proc on you from multiple people, then that is just a huge oversight by zenimax and yet another nasty uneeded nerf to solo players (like nerfing immov pots is). @ZOS_JessicaFolsom @ZOS_GinaBruno @ZOS_RichLambert

Again if anyone has tested this or anyone wants to test this on the PTS im in. would need 2 other people besides myself.

Ya you might be right about this. The difference is only mag dks, nbs, and some temps run skoria.. and a verrryyy few number of stam players who like a sort of different dot build. With zaan i expect everyone to run it on every build. But I heard they nerfed it a bit, and admittedly i havent tried it since the first pts week. But ya, the main thing i am worried about is everyone and their mother running it. Those skoria situations are very few. And when i tried the set on the pts i thought to myself, damn ill be running this on every class i play (and i mainly play stam).

Nah It will be nerfed like Velidreth after some months after release, other set will be flameblosomed even before release and there is still no fixes for Jorvuld’s Guidance with Master Architect and Twilight Remedy
