✭I do one circuit around Craglorn once a day but never, ever on the weekends farming nirn for my crafting research.
The scenery doesn't bother me.
Maybe you're spending too much time in Cragorn.

✭✭I find it faster to farm mats in lesser known spots. No nirncrux but 3x the number of gold mats. Works out to be better gold per hour for me.0 -

They could reduce the drop rate in accordance to how many zones there are, not including the DLC zones since some might think that is P2W.
It would require more time harvesting overall to get a nirn, but it could be done anywhere.
I state this because it could be the results if Zos where to make the change you request.

I get enough simply from the Craglorn survey maps I get when doing daily writs on 8 characters. I also get loads of tempers and stacks of gold - win, win, win, without farming.Australian on PS4 NA server.

✭Nirncrux only drops in Craglorn as it is only found in this area in the lore. It is an intergrel part of the zone story as well.2 -

Just transmute your gear - it does not require the trait material.
Personally, I am farming it for research. I give the nirn to a crafter friend, they make the item for me. I like earning my stuff when I can, rather than buying it. However, because of the max of 9 research slots, I never have to farm for long to get enough to set me up for when my timers are up. I've heard that they drop only from gear mat nodes, but not consumable mat nodes - for blacksmithing, clothing & woodworking, but not the others.
Also, it drops from certain animals that drop medium armor mats, like welwa, but I haven't gotten any that way yet.
Finally, I read that they drop from heavy sacks as well, but I haven't experienced that either.

I may add it happened once in 3 yrs of craglon... tho i don't harvest every day.0
