Will curing Werewolf/Vampire EVER be fixed?

Several years in with a known fault and still neither a fix or, at the very least, a warning for players?

Even now if you cure your vamp or were disease without first respeccing ALL your skills you lose the points you spent on any skills. This has been an issue since day 1 - since I saw no update, comment or advice from ZOS on the subject I thought I'd test to see and yes... still broken.

At the minimum there should be a warning text in the cure dialogue to ask if you have respecced - if the company is lacking the skills to fix it then they should at least warn people OR give a respec as part of the cure.

Vamprism cure should be on crown store. One of the few things I actually want in the crown store.

To be fair the cures are easy although sticking it in the store for crowns would be easy enough and hardly game changing - but it is annoying and costly to lose a bunch of skill points without any explanation after so many years.

I was actually surprised that getting ww or vamp cure didn't automatically refund the skill points you put into that skill line. It doesn't make any sense--I'm no longer a ww or vamp but I still have skills with skill points put into them that I can't access now unless I go and pay to have all my points respecced? I did this on my main, who has so many skill points she's running out of skill points she can earn, when I decided to switch her to vamp from ww, and it cost me over 15k gold to respec her and get the ww skill points back just so I would have enough to put into her vamp skills (she's a master crafter as well as an end-game pve/pvp toon--she needs all the skill points). That's one hell of a penalty.

The cure itself is relatively cheap although I don't understand the bug where people have to pay the priest twice once you actually have done the quest and leveled up the skill--where you talk to him once, and you get the "just been bitten, cure me now" quest, have to pay 69 gold, which will not cure you if you have done the ww quest, so you have to ask him again and get the full cure that cost like 10x more. That needs to be fixed ASAP.
PC-NA since 2015. Tired and unimpressed.

It is not broken. Since there is no means to respect specific points as it is there is no reason to think one will get points back without respecing just because they no longer have that skill line.

Maybe a little warning might be nice for those curing for the first time who mistakenly think the points would be refunded, but it still changes nothing.

I think that is all I am saying - add a little line to the text of the cure to say 'make sure you respec before accepting the cure or you will lose access to skill points'.

Easy enough to do after this many years - seems kind of lazy to not give new (or even old) players a basic warning that bad code will cost them skill points. :)

If you do a full respec after the cure do the points stay locked or are they freed?
    “Whatever.”

I did not lose any skill points curing before doing a respec. There were all available when I did finally do a respect. I still had all my skill points.

If somehow you actually lost them then I suggest putting in a ticket since that would be a bug. They should always still be there and be available to place elsewhere after a respect is finally done. Remember, it needs to be a full respect. Not just morphs.
