Selfish rant incoming.

Personally I'm one of those people who would not mind it in the least if they stopped releasing new content for a while. I am still only starting Silver now. I have achievements left to do on every single DLC and I guess I feel bothered by the fact that people only care about the new ones and don't work towards the old ones anymore. Solo content excluded, I mean group activities like dungeons and trials. I have motifs left to catch on every dungeon DLC as well. Morrowind has dropped how long ago and I have yet to do anything at all in it. vHoF and even vMoL for instance. Everyone is focused on vAS now. I wanted to get the vMoL achievements. Heck I wanted to get through vHoF once. It feels like everyone is way ahead and don't waste time with those anymore.

The Hist dungeons. I need achievements from there still. I can't even find group to farm the motifs.

And yes I'm in 5 guilds. 3 of which do raids regularly. Wish I could be in more. (hint hint)

Frankly I feel like the game is advancing much much faster than I can keep up and it feels very disheartening. Next chapter that drops I won't even buy it. What for? I still have the whole of Vvardenfell to get through. And the whole of CWC. And many bits and pieces of the previous ones.

I know. It's entirely my fault for wanting to enjoy the content I have instead of rushing ahead skipping all conversation and sprinting from skyshard to skyshard to get everything done 2 hours after it drops. Besides the game was meant for us to take time completing things. One *could* just buy all motifs from the stores. But where is the fun in that? It doesn't even feel rewarding unless the knowledge of being able to afford expensive items is enough. We also have the 'complete 30 dailies of this type' achievements to do which suggests the devs meant players to actually play the missions and not simply buy the rewards. And yes that takes time. And yes I like achievements

Gear preview.
Yes please. We have some options right now with the motifs on the crown store but they are limited. Although I believe the incoming costume system will allow us to look at styles we can't craft so that's likely one bird down.

Better character models.
Maybe. The body part is mostly covered in gear, and when it's not, it's displaying some skin. So it's really not that big an issue I'd say. As for the faces, changes in those would probably send a lot of people into rage after having spent thousands of crowns in tokens to get that perfect look and suddenly the face looks different after being 'updated'.

Animations.
Why bother with animations if they get cancelled most of the time? Joke joke. Yes there are some bugs that could be looked into such as random animations during fishing that make the pole vanish or even stick right through the chest or head, always amusing. Also running animations that seem to stop working every now and then for personalities.

Character creation.
It could use some improvement. For those of us without the PTS it would be good to take an existing character into the edit screen, to see the slider positions and play around with them. Token would only be consumed/needed if the changes were committed.

Loading Screens.
I am not in an SSD so my load times are always a little longer. However they don't really bother me unless it's the infamous bug where we can hear all game sounds around us but the loading screen won't vanish. And when we load a character and it's stuck in the ground. Makes for some interesting screenshots of other players' undergarments though.

Collections menu.
Yes please. I have asked for this before as well. A way to zoom when we're checking unlocked hair styles or facial accessories, and also a preview instead of having to actually equip them, lean forward and squint, wait for the cooldown to pass, equip next, etc.

Account-wide settings.
That would be great. Keybinds. Chat options. Name plates.

Inventory management.
While some players may have it better with Addons, they're not available for everyone. At the very least a search option for us to find the Gloves of (set) together with Shoes of (set) since they are obviously in totally different spots of the list.

Presets.
For gear. For CP. For skill morphs. Would make changing builds on the fly a lot easier instead of taking half an hour manually setting everything up each time we want to try something different.

You're totally justified, Octopuss. Your OP is just stating a list of things you want in the game. I am told my ideas are bad and stupid every time I OP on these forums, so don't worry about it, this is protocol.

Something that bugs me is that there is only one freckles option- like, every player and NPC in the entire game that has freckles has exactly the same amount in exactly the same places. In the words of Peter Griffin, it just grinds my gears.

So maybe there could be some kind of paid QoL overhaul that gives access to more skins, animations and customization options in character creation. This is a DLC in itself, and a lot of people would buy it over 2 new dungeons that are un-puggable and require a regular, dedicated, optimized group to ever get the achievements.

The other things you mention are good points as well, but are probably not on ZoS's list of priorities because there it would be difficult to monetize it.

The Clockwork City stone tablet (books) a little more read-able, its like reading white on rice.

New DLC is the absolute most important #1 imperative for any game. Games die without new playable content. Pauses in content lead to cancelled ESO+ subscriptions, lower playtime, fewer people in game, less Crown Store sales, etc. All of which leaves less budget for both QoL and future DLC. But ZOS can walk and chew gum at the same time. They can do QoL improvements and DLC at the same time.

The character designer should be a separate thing you can select at the title screen with its own save slots and access to all your collected cosmetic items, different lighting options, etc, and it stores your creations locally. When you start a new in game character, you can import one of your local creations.

Stop right there. Reskinning the warden bear to a wamasu would cost me tens of thousands of gold and several weeks of my life, because I would ABSOLUTELY HAVE TO roll a warden for this reason alone. This one likes wamasu.

Oh and ALL MY YES to the idea of being able to reskin summoned pets! I want my darn Warden to have ALL Nord type critters, NOT Morrowind ones! She will NOT be followed around by a darn baby netch! LOL Seriously though, yes I'd pay crowns for those kind of cosmetic options.

LOL, we can say that about much more than lag. For some reason, everyone keeps returning to the game, though. So I guess they feel like they don't need to. Why do that when there are more profitable activities that can be done?

The only reason that's true though is because this is the Elder Scrolls. People come back because they love the world, the genre and yes, even the lore. The same thing was true of SWTOR. People loved Star Wars so much they were willing to "overlook" everything they hated about the GAME just to get to play in that world. But now SWTOR is about to go on life support... even as a slew of new Star Wars movies hits the screens and stokes hype and nostalgia. Because if a game is bad enough long enough... nothing will save it. I'd like to see that NOT happen here and the powers that be at Zeni need to NOT become complacent. Because sooner or later, this being the Elder scrolls won't be enough.
