What's your opinion on pve/pvp

title, I enjoy both aspects of the game but I hate forced pvp and wish pve was as separated as possible from pvp in both balancing and things to do such as quest hubs, etc.

I do enjoy pvp however but not when I am on a new character hunting for skyshards or fishing...

I mean PvP is just something to do in ESO. Devs don't really care much about it. Otherwise we would see PvP updates left and right

I grind my way to whatever assault level I need in one go, thank the group for carrying my carebear through, then rush off the map as quickly as possible and never look back.
Most satisfying thing afterwards is throwing all those ballistas off my precious inventory space.

Not a fan of pvp in general, but I feel it’s much less balanced in RPGs where numbers and stat discrepancies often make for lopsided outcomes. I know, war isn’t fair and all that. Guess Im just a hippy.

I'm in PvP at the moment levelling my Healer to 4/4 for Warhorn and purge after that, I'm straight out. Might enjoy it more if horse stats were retroactive across all characters. Levelling horses on a new toon is ass.

I enjoy both however the fact that pvp is broken and never getting fixed makes it less appealing for me.

I just wish there were events in Cyrodiil to change the campaigns once in a while. Where is Molag Bal's army? Attacks could be launched from the Imperial City, the 10 Dolmens there, or for more chaos in the campaign everywhere/anywhere at random.

Honestly wish they'd just fix the plethora of issues with PvP.
Lag, random load screens, etc. REALLY retract from the enjoyment and don't even get me started with balance issues but that effects both PvP and PvE, just to different extents.

I do both, but I still hate that people have to do PvP for Vigor, and now people have to do PvP in order to get a decent amount of transmutation stones, because PvP is the only place where you can get any in quantity. The number of stones you're allotted doing dungeons is laughable.
There was a time when I didn't do PvP and didn't want to, so I sympathize with people who dread it. I now have one character that is 100% designed/outfitted for PvP, but a lot of people don't have that.

It's for incentive for pvers to run PvP and see if they like it... but many experience load screens online and are turned off by it

I don't hate it exactly, but I never really feel like I'm progressing. At least with trials there's a distinct "you've won!" moment then we all collect our loot and move on. Sure it gets really easy as time goes on, but there's less lag, more stupid (and) funny drunk runs when we just want to enjoy ourselves, and overall more fun. In PvP it feels like we're all chasing our own tails for very little reward.

Also I kind of hate tower defense games so I'm biased against ESO PvP from the get-go

I mainly PvE, but I do PvP now and then when I want a change of pace. I even go in now that I've got the skills I need. I suck, but I enjoy it. Last time I entered PvP was to complete the dolmens for the achievement.

before morrowind I was on both, pvp and pve player but more to pve
thank to morrowind patch with changes now I very rarely going into anything with pve because new dps systemw ith heavy attackes just gave me aids on pve
and changes with addons like miats is getting better for pvp with next patch also is next + for more pvp

and btw for me more pve in those last days I doing on cyrodil fighting on empty resources etc with only guards haha than normal pve outside cyrodil

It's a shame that the meta dictates that I cannot play a stam build because of vigour/caltrops/war horn but there you go. I fully sympathize with the PvP people and the skills locked behind the undaunted line.

And the categories are a little harsh. I certainly do not hate PvP but simply do not wish to have anything to do with it.

Since they reset Cyrodiil and forced everyone out to pick out a new Campaign, I haven't gone back to it at all. Not even the starter quests on new alts to grab the few extra skill points and sky shards. The characters that have gotten those items, that's fine, the new characters have to do without it. Mostly to avoid those annoying notifications of who captured what, as for as I know, they are still broadcasting with no way to turn them off.

I remeber days with no vigor...and caltrops being pure pvp skills to put then on breach to control if someone is passing it or no
or when they added vigor and it was locked at 24pvp rank and this was pure pvp stamina heal, not stamina
I just missing those days where skills from alliance war was pure pvp skills, before they changed it for pve players nerfing requiments for them and also big nerf for caltrops, yes for me change in caltrops was big nerf especailly for pvp...now I rarely see someone using this skill on pvp so why this *** is still locked on pvp skills? move it maybe to world or something and add to alliance war skill pure pvp skill..

I don't understand how people can kill the same coded, mechanically engineered mobs over and over again and feel any sense of accomplishment albeit for maybe the first time you clear vma or a trial.

Imo nothing is more satisfying than killing other players because of the unpredictability of it and the fact that it's a true conflict of skill variables like who can burst, sustain, mitigate etc better. Against a boss if you know the mechanics and have decent dps it just becomes predictablely boring. Just my perspective of course.

I primarily PvP but enjoy PvE as well and have most all of the PvE achievements.
What I wish would happen when the Devs make a nerf is that they would explain why they made the nerf and why it applies to both PvE and PvP to stop this constant bickering about everything being nerfed because of PvP which is far from the truth.
That being said I also find a PvPr who gets killed by something coming on the forums and crying nerf instead of learning how to counter sickening.

I actually enjoy PvP from time to time, but I hate the fact PvPers are even allowed to ask for balance. My feeling is that most PvPers don't even feel bad while using a cheap and cheesy build. "It's in the game, so I use it" is a childish argument to me. Only fair fights with even competition are meaningful to me.

Had to pick the "hate PvP option" as it was closest. I don't really hate it, I'm just so bloody terrible at it that I don't want to inflict my ineptitude on anyone.

If I didn't suck so badly, I might feel differently about it BUT I am not at all fond of those PvPers who act like hyperactive toddlers. Real turn-off that is, in any game.
