Clever Alchemist wasn't a nerf.
It was an exploit fix, as it was never intended for anyone to proc the set and then use an add-on to automate a gear change while still having the CA buff.
So I think you're on your own if you want to continue to "PVP".

The controls have to do somewhere. instead of addressing the power creep caused by CP, by getting rid of CP, ZOS keeps nerfing everything else.
So take another break, lets say a year. And all class skills with be completely stripped of their utility, all look the same, and do 1k damage each boosted 500% by 1000 champion points.
Is this the game you want? Because this is the game you are getting. The nerfings will continue until the champion system is destroyed,

Someone already told you this and you commented.
The CP system has absolutely nothing to do with it and is just another anti CP post, similar ones existed with veteran rankings.
"Oh the Power Creep"
No, CP isn't the reason your stuff got nerfed, it got nerfed cuz having 3 armor perks or infinite lashes are OP
Archers mind is your friend

Stopped playing at start of September due to irl stuff but also game nerds etc... No I didn't quit or anything just think of it as a sabbatical.
Felt like playing some pvp, on my very niche gankblade - which utilities CA. Low and behold I logged on, was in pvp and after proccing many pots I'm like 'wtf!'.
So yes, Afk for 5 months, the one character and playstyle I wanted to play has been nerfed, thank you ZOS you guys are so good at needing enjoyment. I looked at the other threads and many felt it was ott.
In before: I need to l2p and ganking sucks.
Oh and also this CA nerf basically means it's very unlikely I'll ever get to use my name sake again - - - RIP Wrecking Blow :'( you shall be missed
For those wondering, the ganking gear set was:
5 CA
5 swordsinger
1 veli
1 Kena

It's so impossible I just showed you how to do it. You should go work for ZOS you would fit right in.Waffennacht wrote: »It's impossible to prevent PC players from getting the buff from CA and using a program to change gear while also letting CA be used outside of combat.
Unless you planned on making them locked in combat mode for 15 seconds every time they drink a potion, no it hasn't. Combat ends when the engagement ends and there is no mob you're engaged with so the game doesn't recognize a reason to end combat as soon as possible. This would literally require implementing an exception to the combat timer rules which are so core to the game engine that they would require an actual programmer to do instead of whatever script monkey designed the alchemist set. There's a big difference between coding an exception to a core game mechanic and using your RPGMaker toolset to create an item that applies a buff when an consumable is used. Most of the people who create content know nothing about programming, they only know how to operate the design tools, which if the devs are big enough have PLENTY of accessible features from creating new mobs and assigning them skins/attacks to shaping the world itself to adding more item sets with tweakable stats and different trigger conditions. Even the Unreal engine has hoards of usable features for the lowest class of developer and autogenerated scripts. This is part of why switching or updating engines costs so much for devs. Programmers are so unnecessary after the fact that their costs are frontloaded into the engine development with a scant few retained or hired for troubleshooting during the life cycle. When an engine and its accompanying tools are well designed it doesn't take an army of programmers to design more content, only an army of artists.clocksstoppe wrote: »Unfortunately for you OP, you are collateral damage caused by game designers that are so mediocre they can't even find proper fixes for exploits they find. Their answer to CA proc into gear swap addon exploit was to make it never proc unless you are in combat. The correct way to do it was to make the CA proc put you immediately into combat, thus disabling gear swapping while also allowing it to be used for what it was designed, prebuffing before engagingIt's so impossible I just showed you how to do it.
