But honestly, I don't care.
Maybe other question - is animation currently shown for all players nearby in the same way? Or is just information about animation being played sent to other players and it plays from the moment those players received info about it? Because if that's the case, syncing might require some additional logic implemented and that might be too much work for something not quite as important.0 -

1. There will be little skill, social skill, community, training, coordination, etc. in dancing as a group. Something our guild does every so often - it draws a crowd and reaction.
Last time out 4 of us (there were 16 dancing) received a video at Xmas from a guy who had painstakingly put music and editing to his in-game clip of our dancing!
2. It will be less uncommon and less impressive, less unique basically and to a degree take some of the fun out of anyone trying to coordinate a dance. * If you are interested in how we coordinate just ask!
3. It would unfortunately show how Zos can address unnecessary whims ahead of inconsistencies or inconveniences already existing in the game.
See for example on PS4: 25 quest slots yet countless dlc and dailies since game release. Try to send an email to someone in the group, or is it see profile, or is it from Roster to invite? The fact I can't remember shows the flaw. Take 480 bank slots listed well by scrolling 480 times. Take gear listed in Inventory by type alphabetically, in Merchant by sale likelihood, in decon by, well, at some point I get lost. Lock gear in bank, GBank or Store but not in Merchant.. I could go on.0 -

2) Please give us this, for both dancing and music playing. I cringe at the lack of coordination between lute players and drummers.

I would say, rather then have a activation time limit, make the "/dance *" command join in synchronized dance with anyone already dancing in the vincinity. Same could be done for all the music./dance = makes you start dancing, as the command works right now
/dance * = all players who enter this command within the same 2-3 seconds start dancing in synchronously
This is how Guild Wars 2 works. Maybe we could even add synchronized lute and flute playing.
