Hello everyone! I play eso and i love my templat puncturing sweep spam build!
I am fan of the very easy yet effective builds! I play with controller and i find it very comfortable to use the first three skills but not so much the L1 and R1 ones.
I am a solo player, i just want to breeze through quests, delves and public dungeons without struggle etc ( call me a lazy casual)
The templar build i use is: puncturing sweep, harness magicka and elemental blockade and heavy attacks with my staff!
Then on L1 and R1 i have the inner light and repentance, 2 skills i rarely use and are there for buffs.
I tried to make a stamina nightblade and felt too weak.... (maybe i am not playing it right..)
But anyway, to the point: I am wandering, is there similar builds for other classes? To regularly use just 3 skills and be able to breeze through content? And if yes can you please post some of them?
Thanks in advance!
Ps: i dont have cp yet. My templar is 20 level now. (I used to play to ps4, just switched to pc)
Pet Sorc is by far the easiest build if you want to complete content like Vet Maelstrom Arena, and kind of learn the basics of a DPS rotation.
Don't bring one into trials though lol.
The skill was rather fun, but they broke it with Morrowind patch, in multiple ways:
1) They removed Major Mending from Templar so it heals for less than it used to so you have to spam them more
2) It's expensive, so it got hit particularly hard by the CP changes (no more cost reduction, maximum recovery reduced)
3) They also broke the scaling when they made it additive with CP, but at least they are trying to fix that the next patch
I dropped it on my Templar and simply use heavy attacks instead. They do more damage against single target, comparable AoE damage, and coupled with Degeneration, they also heal, even if you are at range. Plus they give back magicka instead of consuming it. I came to the conclusion it's not worth slotting after trying to beat vMA on my Templar. With sweeps I had to always stay in melee range and took a lot more damage, and as a result I had to spam it, which left me without magicka even at 1.6K+ recovery. Most runs were 2h+ death fests. Once I switched to ranged I beat the arena in about an hour, with vitality left. I basically use the same build for overland content. No spammable, just DoTs and a couple of heavy attacks. I can sustain with ~750 recovery and I can even drop most world bosses solo without any difficulty.
Skill setup:
Front Bar: Radiant Glory | Purifying Light | Elemental Drain | Harness Magicka | Inner Light || Empowering Sweep
Back Bar: Elemental Blockade | Blazing Spear | Ritual of Retribution | Vampire's Bane | Degeneration || Elemental Rage
Rotation is like this: Apply elemental drain, Purifying Light, bar swap, back bar skills with light attacks in between, bar swap to front, refresh purifying light, do 2 heavy attacks, repeat, refresh elemental drain every 2nd rotation. If someone gets you elemental drain you can weave Force Pulse or Crushing Shock with the heavies for more damage. Didn't practice more, but can get that to about 32.5K DPS. Probably more experienced pople can squeeze 37K+. For overland mobs doesn't matter, since they melt before I hit Elemental Blockade

One thing I’d recommend is swapping out purifying light for power of the light. I realize it’s a stamina morph, but it’s one of the few abilities in the game that causes minor breach/minor fracture. That additional dmg outperforms the damage from purifying light; especially when all your teammates can take advantage of it
