Take me through your daily schedule in ESO.

Hey all! I just recently returned to the game, bought morrowind, and subscribed to get all of the DLC and I was curious as to what people did on a daily basis in ESO? Yes, I know I should just play as I wished but what should I definitely be doing to progress? Certain dailies or weeklies? Thanks for answers!

My mornings consist of making gold and managing my sales before I go to work. When I get home I make more gold and do dailies that are needed for achievement and/or profit. Since I'm done questing until new content comes out I spend the rest of my game time working on my vMA runs. Toss in a few random acts of kindness and that sums up my average ESO day.

daily writs on 5 characters, then a random vet dungeon or two on my mains, and then depends on the day of the week. A little PVP, a little PVE, occassional daily undaunted pledges, crafting surveys, a little grind perhaps on some of my alt characters (skyshards, lore books, undaunted). Specific nights for Imp City Telvar Run with the guild, and others for trials. A mix, but mostly what other people in the guild are doing.

Sorry, I’ll try to explain a little better. I don’t have a ton of time to play each day, so I’m trying to figure out how to be efficient in the little time that I have. (2-3 hours at most) A few of my goals are, progress my CP to max, gain character strength in general, run difficult dungeons and trials, gear my character better, get a decent amount of gold, and mostly just have fun!

1. Daily writs + Clockwork dailies
2. Selling valuables, sometimes search for items from guild stores (motifs, furniture, master writs etc.)
3. Do some master writs if I have any
(Not always: farming, pledges, normal trials, achievements)

Currently it goes like this...

-Spend 1hr to do crafting writs on 14 characters, and feed the horses on a few.
-Then I head to Vvardenfell on two of my stamina characters who have leveled up legerdemain, pick some pockets until I get a motif or run out of Fence sales/launders.
-Queue up for a random normal daily dungeon on my new stam sorc who still needs skill points from most dungeons.
-Then I head to PVP if I feel like it.
-Or shop around for some motifs and recipes.
-Or decorate one of my 5 houses.

But, if a friend is online and they want to play I do whatever they want to do.

What you should do depends on what you want to get out of the game. I do writs to fuel my furnishing/motif gold sink. I do random dailies to get skill points. I pickpocket to get the motifs/recipes I need. I pvp and decorate my houses for fun.

-If you want to min/max you should do the Undaunted dailies to level up Undaunted skill line.
-If you want to get into a life a crime you should spend some time laundering/fencing stolen goods and then work on the Theives guild and Dark brotherhood quests/dailies until they are maxed and motifs are gotten.
-If you want to level up, then do daily dungeons and either do runs in skyreach or run dolmens. or quest if you can bare it.
-If you want motifs, find out where they drop and do those dailies, or pick those pockets.

Usually do a little rp in Craglorn while I wait to join a random dungeon, do a few of those, then it's to Imperial City to farm tel var stones, then back to Craglorn for a bit more rp.

well i roll out of bed, yawn, and then stand at the dueling/undaunted area in mournhold. I then proceed to play other mmos (on my PC) while my game sits open on my xbox, dueling whenever challenged, because eso is so laggy that if i do anymore than that ill smash another controller.

Then sometimes ill do some crafting writs or maybe go to cyrodil and test the waters.. If its to laggy ill go back to mournhold. gg zos

The one daily activity that I always do is master writs. I do them on anywhere from 5-10 toons a day depending on what my bank account and gold mat inventory looks like. I dont think there is a more efficient daily task you can do than master writs in terms of accumulating wealth in this game. I am currently doing writs on 7 toons, and it takes me approximately 20-25 minutes. Once a week, I will take some extra time to sort through all the stuff I got and list anything I dont want in a trader. About once a month, I spend a few hours collecting all the surveys I have accumulated. If you do writs consistently on multiple toons, there is really no need to do anything else in game for money.

After I do writs, I will typically do one set of pledges. I still have 4 toons that need undaunted, so I just mix it up.

After that, I do one of about 4 things. If not much is going on, I usually log at that point. On Mondays and Thursdays, I PVP. On Saturdays and Sundays, I have PVE raid. Saturday during the day is the one time I can usually play without interruption, so that is when I often work on quests that I still need or characters that still need some sort of leveling.

I also like to spend about 20 minutes a day on a target dummy. These days its mostly about perfecting my mageblade rotation (or lack thereof).

When I first log on, it's what I call "housekeeping": writs, riding lessons, trait research, guild store restocking, inventory management. Then it's whatever. I have 10 playing toons, and there's things I want to do with each. Just depends what I'm in the mood for.

Today I meant to work on m 2nd Caldwell Gold toon's progression through Deshaan but got sidetrack when I looked at Craftstore on my main toon and saw what prov recipes she was still missing. My ESO OCD triggered and 250k gold and 90 minutes later, she now knows all prov recipes except the CWC ones and that one that needs the super rare cipher. Then feeling as though I could spend some more gold, I browsed houses I don't own yet but decided to wait on that.

Generally over the week I will do a bit of everything, except Undaunted dungeons because I'm soooo burnt on of them. I try to do at least the daily delve quest for the toons that don't have Undaunted mettle yet and will need it, but ugh. I don't stick well to any daily routine past my housekeeping or any scheduled guild events because then ESO starts to feel like a job.

I returned as well after 2 years break. I still have only Orsinium and IC, didnt buy anything else yet. I log in, I do some stealing, because Im working towards justice top achievments, then I finish 3 guild dailies, then I go PvP. If I have more time, I'll do 1 or 2 pledges as well. On the weekend I play more at IC and do more dailies. In the meantime, I'm still learning what is new since I left and think what new DLC I will buy next.

@Tandor Although I admire your laid back comment, sometimes managing what you do does not require a job but simply maximizing your time by organizing. This can be added to anything in life and some people need a routine which can be applied to a game as well to a job. Not for everyone, but managing time isn't strictly for a job.

I wanted to make 3M gold to save up for an ESO house instead of paying real life money and thus, I made it a part of my gaming routine to spend an hour near the end farming for materials to sell and to stock up my guild traders 30/30 on all 3 traders. Now I have 3.3 mill gold in less than a month simply by managing my time and sticking to it to met a goal. But like I said, this is different for everyone because you may not care about the same things in the game as I do.

I'd do the daily random dungeon thru the activity finder. The first time you do this daily, gives an extra chunk of XP.

If your build requires max undaunted skill line, then I'd work the daily pledges, and daily delve. (From the enclave)

If your build requires max Mage skill line, then daily Mage guild quest. (and/or farm purple lorebooks)

The daily undaunted delve and daily Mage guild quest are "shareable", meaning if you're in a group, you can do it more than once a day.

Daily train your horse.

Farm skyshards from one or two areas. The skill points you get from dungeons/leveling won't be enough to comfortably *play around* with your build. Eventually, you'll need almost all of them on your *main* if you plan to max out all the crafting skill lines.

Begin researching everything you can (at the craft tables under research). You may not want to craft now, but you might later, and researching is something you touch briefly, and then wait weeks at a time for it to complete.

At present, most of my many characters (on two accounts) are max level. So it’s crafting writs, crafting writs, more crafting writs, a little pocket-picking and stealing, crafting writs...this is boring...I’ll come back later. I should note, though, that I am doing all those writs to save up money for the new housing and the outfit system coming next month.

Take a look at sets and do some theory crafting and check guild stores before logging in.

Buy stuff off guild stores if I see anything worth while(I typically avoid mmo economies because I like to be self-sufficient but farming some set piece all day instead of doing...)

Join Cyrodiil war and do battle for rewards of the worthy and defending and taking keeps.

Run a random vet for CP points.

Go play something else in my steam/origin/gog library.

Once I have the CP and resources I will want to field a sorc because they are mobile and the most fun to play. Maybe field a stam nightblade if I can fun something fun to do with it. Maybe a melee warden because nature's grasp.

Hey everyone!

There are so many great routines here, such dedication to your crafts, be it kill everything for miles around, or going through writs and home decoration.

Personally, I'm in the log in, kill, loot, log out crowd, but you're really inspiring me to branch out a bit.

Depends on where you are at but for me, with 4-5 hours a session, 13 toons on my main account and 5 on my secondary:

Log into secondary account, do horse training on all toons, check for guild sales and restock trader (selling excess stock sent over from my main account).

Log into main account, do horse training on latest toon/s, check mail, pick up daily writs (see later paragraph), do undaunted dailies on any not yet at level 9 in undaunted, then do whatever I feel like on whatever account and toon I am in the mood for playing on. Maybe a lower level toon in Cyrodiil, or a mid level toon out skyshard/boss/delve/dolmen farming for missing skill points or achievements, or a high level toon having a go at trials or vet DLC dungeons.

I am doing crafting writs on 8 characters but while I pick them up every day, I do them every second day - so 2 days worth of writs in one go. This is usually done after undaunted dailies.

Whatever I do I always try and finish each session on a toon by taking care of inventory and bank space so that I am not forced to do it at the start of my next session.

It should be noted that I am well over CP cap on my main account, have completed all of the research I am going plan to do (have a 9 trait and many 8 trait crafters), have leveled all of my main characters crafting levels to 50 and have already made more gold than I expect I will ever need.
