Would you like combat music remastered from previous elder scrolls games?

I'm talking morrowind, skyrim, obliv, etc. Currently there exists those generic drums that play and the occasional boss music and overall lack quantity. Previous elder scrolls games have amazing gems especially in combat music and do you remember the positive feedback the sound devs were given for remastering old classics like the road most traveled for the morrowind chapter? Overall the game would benefit from nostalgic immersion and would enhance the elder scrolls feel of eso

Overall, I think eso has a nice soundtrack but is lacking in the combat music department in terms of variety, what is currently in is nice and if not old music I would like more music of the same quality. I am sure fans of the series would love to hear old classic battle music whilst fighting a challenging boss or in a siege

Maybe - one thing I always wanted is the option to toggle combat music off.

I really enjoy the music in this game but can't stand the combat tunes, and especially when it's on and off between trash fights.

That too, I can't stand drums when you attack a simple bandit

No. All of these are classics tied to that specific game. That is what makes it unique. To add another visual to that is, in my eyes, tainting the original essence of it. If I hear that battle music from Skyrim, I DO NOT want to visualize ESO. I want to visualize Skyrim.

I would like something to be done, that's for sure. I used to play with music in all the time. But since one of the updates where they introduced I think it was the TG/DB somber themes to the entire map, and changed the title/log in track, and butchered the dolmen theme. I can't. I simply can't.

It's great being in a city and having the old tunes play. It's not great being in a bright merry area with lots of colorful flora and those dark tracks popping up, with long uneasy moans and unsettling wails. Leave those for delves. And caves. And desolate areas like Rivenspire. They don't really fit anywhere else.

Same for the battle tracks. I turned music on the other day just to try and see if it felt better. It didn't. Every time I killed a skeever there was this random burst of drums and that was it. Again. And again. And again. And again.

Approaching a dolmen as it started, expecting to have that badass epic tune we all know and love, aaaaand it's not. There's something else entirely different playing. What a huge huge letdown.

So I'm always back to my own soundtrack.

Oh and for the love of whatever divine or daedra you worship can we stuff a sock on the bards? Please? Give us an option at the very least to automatically make them silent. The instruments are fine. But listening to some very bored-sounding guy mumbling 'red diamond red diamond, they don't pay me nearly enough for thisss~~~' for the thousandth time this week is very annoying. Add that to the ghost bards that keep following us around (haven't had them in a few days tbh) and I truly wish we could Blade-o'-Woe them all.

I actually play the single player soundtracks through youtube or whatever while I play ESO, so I wouldn't mind if the feature were added

You can just download those old songs and play them in a playlist.

I turned off the music as it started to play on my nerves. It got painfully repetitive and I couldn't stand in anymore, The exception being the weird ambient in dungeons, I liked those gloomy sounds.
Now I roam Tamriel listening to either ambient or good old rock. And yes, I don't have to listen to that awful "thunderbolt-arse-like" battle sounds whenever I, I don't know, killa pack of jackals or a mudcrab ... o_0

Prob another take from DAoC by Matt F

I really no longer believe this game was initially designed a an ESO game.

Anyways, I think your idea would be pretty popular if added with some player choice

Too bad morrowind added some old music to the game... it must suck to visualize morrowind she. You are in morrowind

Morrowind was remastered and thus, the Marrowind soundtrack was as well. It is associated with that very place and essence of that culture, storyline and events. To add Skyrim music to Auridon would be ridiculous. If there was a remastered Skyrim in ESO, then that would be different and adding appropriate music to mimic that sensation makes more sense. To put Morrowind music in Grahtwood makes no sense, audio wise and the audio producers know this which is why it has not happened. Audio plays a huge role in an experience of a game and is placed accordingly, not randomized.
