You could of farmed a dozen agrees by posting one baby carriage . Think of the missing children .

I pickpocketed a swaddling cloth from a Dunmer lady the other day. I can also craft and furnish my homes with various cradles. And all the females have at least two breasts, so there has to be children around somewhere.

This could make a good DLC at some point.

"Coming July of 2019...... new Elder Scrolls Online add on: Where Are The Children? Solve the mystery of the missing munchkins! And including two new dungeons: Ma of Mikey (He likes it!), and Cradle of Crumb Crunchers. Help the mothers of Tamriel take back what is rightfully theirs!"

Just come up with your own story as to the why. In some cities there are parks, with ponds, where you can rent a small boat and go rowing. Bring a picnic lunch and you have the potential for a romantic date.

It looks pretty clear that the dock was made for people to fish there, hence the fishing poles and fishing boats.

...of all the problems of ESO...really?

Also, "small"? There's a pond about that size near my house IRL and there're boats there because people apparently enjoy being out on the water on a hot day and that's the biggest body of water easily available to them. I've also seen that in other parks around here. Also fishing. While it's not something I'd do myself, yeah it exists and yeah it's perfectly immersive.

...the problems some people manage to find o.O Smh...

There are a lot of sea going vessels lying in harbours not at waters of seas or connected to seas. Just as the OP I wonder sometimes about that. I think the game designers didn't have much clue about ships. That there are (mostly) large sea going vessels and (mostly) smaller vessels for inland waters and they are genuinely different.

Maybe this is just where they repair the boats? So the little lake is the testing area before they ship them out.

Yeah, that's a "thing". People put boats on any old body of water they can. "Look at my boat"! :p There's a guy just down the road from me that has a ~20' sailboat in a ~30' pond! The thing could sink (maybe it already has?) and it couldn't go any lower, as it must already be on the bottom!

that's amazing. i almost felt sorry for the owner until i decided they must be hilarious.

Thank you, OP. You have made me realize I really don't need to come to these forums any longer.
Of all the things...in a game with magicka, soul gems, cat and lizard races, portals in the sky...a boat in a small pond is troubling to you?
    I can't anymore...I can't even....

Thank you for making me realize I really don't need this forum silly ***.
And yes, you can have my stars..

Not a single Elder Scrolls game since Daggerfall has been to scale, I thought people realized this. As presented to us in ESO, Tamriel is the size of an island like Nantucket, you can hike across the entire continent in less than a day. That's not to mention that the overall presented population is no more than one or two thousand people. If you want an open world game, you have to make significant sacrifices to scale, much like Watch Dogs does to Chicago, or Fallout does to Boston and Washington DC. Part of scaling things down like this is unfortunately making things seem impossibly small, like boats that realistically can't actually travel in their waterways (you can see this all over the game, not just in Deshaan). The alternative would have been to make every major city its own zone with no actual open world to travel around in.

EDIT: You can actually test the scale by making a new character and timing how long it takes to walk (not run) from Daggerfall to eastern Bangkorai, across Craglorn, from the Covenant to Ebonheart gate in Cyrodiil, then from the western edge of Stonefalls to the east coast of Deshaan. Some simple math will give you total width of Tamriel as presented to us

As an argonian enthusiast, I must disagree, that pond looks like a wonderful place to bath, and the boats are obviously used as tables by the bathing argonians, and the house is just where the towels are kept, I heard those aldmeri man eaters also likes mud, it might have been some that ran from the war and now settled down undercover on the land of the pact, or maybe even spies??
