I was too lazy to check it out on PTS, but are we going to get a full size preview with the new outfitting system?

To answer your question directly, yes, youre able to preview the styles you try before applying them. That also includes previewing the styles you dont even know yet. At least it worked on PTS that way, not sure if its intentional tho.

Material dyes. I thought it would change the look of the item to that tier if the motif had different looks for the different levels. Like the basic race motifs. From the movie it only looks like it changes color.
Can or can't we show the different level looks for a motif?

You get to see your "full" character like in your inventory screen or the dye station etc., and whatever motif you apply to your outfit slots becomes active immediately, as a "preview", before it costs gold when you apply it. You can rotate your character too to see them from all sides.
