If you are new to the game and feel like this then you simply don't like the game and should consider playing something else.
Playing end game content in a week doesn't make sense to me but ymmv.

I personally loved getting my first character to VR16. Took me a year lmao.
It's extremely easy and fast to level to 50 now but it is a little boring after 9 times.
English is not my native language, no grammar police please, tyvm

People that short in time should not be playing video games at all.
If they choose to spend their free time playing a video game, it's (I guess) because they have fun with it.
If playing ESO sounds like a waste of time it's probably because it's not fun to them any more. In which case they should play another game that provides them with fun (or whatever other activity).

I'll never understand why people want to play the game without playing the game...

Even if you are just questing, it goes fast, do group dungeons and boom...easy

I remember vet levels and the old leveling system for assault and support and how long that took. I really wish people took more time, especially newer people to enjoy the game and learn to play as they leve. Grinding is fine, and to each their own, but I would not have gotten half as good as I am now (which is not very!) if I just had gotten someone to carry me through a delve 20 times a day. It does take time but it also helps you develop your playstyle and helps you learn rotations and those sort of things. Just my two cents everybody is different but if it’s your first toon especially I’d recommend just going with the grind it will benefit you more in the end!

Lvling a char is already easy as cake
It was just recently prooven during the latest exp event.
Someone lvld a new account form 0 to cp690 (cap) in under 5 days (3days it took if i remember it correctly)

However there are certain aspecs of lvling which could be faster like: mageguild, skillpointfarm

Where a improvement needs to happen IMO is lvl pvpranks, thats just broken....over 1 year with 200k AP / day to get to rank 50. My suggestion is to make the pvp rank accountwide, so it doesnt matter on which char you pvp (grind ap for caltrops, vigor ect on toons)
And maybe tune down on the AP required for a rank by a small margine.

You can already get a fresh toon from 1 to 50 in like 5 hours, not sure why you need it faster.

Pretty sure the OP means by questing. As it stands right now, natural level progression takes absolutely FOR ever unless you grind very specific spots .

The real leveling starts when you create a character. If people don't want to play most of the game and instead are fixated on some mythical thing in MMOs called "endgame" then tough luck, because there's nothing new to do when they get there anyway so they might just as well enjoy the journey and not seek instant access to a largely non-existent destination.

LMFAO are you serious? It's ridiculously quick and easy now compared to at launch and from what MMO's used to be. Stop playing MMO's if you're lazy and impatient. So much content is missed, at least if it's your first character play through it fully. For alts go grind and 5-10 hours depending on your speed/breaks/etc... you can be level 50. It's stupid easy and fast as it is, it doesn't need to be dumbed down any further.

It does not, just doing the dolmens, delves and public dungeons in zones give lots of xp
Now quest XP reward could be increased at least for level 1-50, weirdly it feels like quests give much more xp after level 50.
Training armor helps a lot, do an daily random dungeon if its an new the bonus and the dungeon quest should give an level.
Grinding just make you go in circles.

Shouldn't the title of this thread really be, "ZOS please put a lvl 50, 720 cp character with 350 skill points in the crown store so I don't have to work for it like everyone else." Because that's what it sounds like the OP wants.

50 hours at release, 5 hours now. How much faster do you want it to be?

Funny you should ask. I really don't get why they don't give us an option to create a new character and pick an existing character's progress to copy. Some people enjoy the grind of leveling up, others enjoy getting on with end-game content. There's nothing wrong with either position but it would be nice if those of us who don't want to grind could avoid it.
Even on the internet, clear communication is important; it can be the difference between "helping your Uncle Jack off a horse" and "helping your uncle jack off a horse"; the difference between "knowing your s***" and "knowing you're s***".

I never figured out how to do that if I´m honest. Every Video I watch always starts with "you need a second person". Seriously, who wants a partner while leveling. Thats just, wrong.

The super fast leveling videos are always 'with partner, 150% XP boosts, all training gear, pledge of mara, ESO+, grinding zombies or Skyreach, etc, etc.'

They aren't 'solo player with at best a 50% boost playing the game through questing, delves, dungeons, whatever'.

Leveling 'speed' at the extreme end doesn't really need a boost - but XP gained through non-grindy methods could sure use one.

Leveling is fast enough, and during XP bonus events it's ridiculously fast. Also you can buy those experience things in the crown store that gives you a 50% xp boost for 2 hours. Use those if you feel it's too slow

    @Uviryth

I have leveled 10 characters to max rank, 5 before the Champ System when it took months to get there, 2 after when it took 50 hours (no One Tamriel) and 3 after OneTamriel when it took 5 to 10 hours. Never partnered with anyone.

Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

    No.

    No.

    And No.

You know what happens to games when they make leveling to endgame stupidly fast and easy (among other things)? They get more boring than a sack of potatoes named Bob.

ESO overland combat has already been extremely simplified, we don’t need the leveling to be 5x easier too.

100% agree if anything it should take longer. Nothing like going in to bg with a couple 220 teammates that don’t even know the mechanics of the game or even the basics of their characters cuz they stood in a corner while their friend/help destroyed everything for him.

Leveling can be really fast, if you grind.
I don't see a reason why ZOS shouldn't increase the xp reward for quests with all the work that went into the quests and storylines.

To all the guys that said that you can hit level 50 in 5 hours: that's true, but it is misinformation. When you hit level 50 you are not at the end of the journey, you are just at the beginning.
In order to have a characther ready for endgame, you will need:

    - Hit level 50 on the most important trees (class skills almost mandatory for every class / spec, then if you are a magicka spec, you will need destro staff at a bare minimum, Bow / Two handed if you are a stamina spec), which can take a good amoun of time. If you want to level also for PvP you will need to hit level 50 also on SnB and 2H on Stamina Specs, which can be quite tedious.

    - SkillPoints: having leveled a bunch of alts i can safely say that in order to have the minimum amount of the skill points you will need to unlock all your racial passives, class passive, weapon passives, skills, morphs and so on , you will need to collect all the skyshards of 11-12 zones at least, and to complete most of the dungeons of the game

    - If you are a Magicka spec you will need Mages Guild, which requires collecting all the lorebooks of 11-12 zones more or less, and then you will need to level up the mages guild skill you will use (Inner Light and Shooting Star / Ice Comet are almost mandatory)

    - If you are a Stamina spec you will need to spend a discrete amount of time in PvP in order to unlock Vigor and Caltrops (and then you will need to level them up. Vigor is ultra fast, Caltrops will take some time).

    - You will need to bring up Undaunted to level 9 in order to unlock Undaunted passives, which are very important. If you have very experienced group you can shorten this time by earning as much achievements as you can in all the dungeons of the game (speed runs, no death, and so on). Otherwise if you will limit yourself in doing pledges every day, this will take a massive amount of time (we are talking about weeks, not days).

    - You will need to level up Alchemy in order to have the "Medicinal Use" passive, which is quite important both for PvE and PvP

At the end of this process your toon will be "ready to go", with everything you need.

Now you do the math and calculate the insane amount of time it takes to achieve this for a new character.

And the most important thing: collecting Skyshards and Lorebooks for every character is insanely tedious. It is not fun, it's just boring.

I recently leveled a stamina warden, did it solo not a single grouping, it took me 9h from 1-50, 3h getting caltrops by only repairing walls as a pve peasent, fighter guilds took around 2h, the only thing remained is undaunted that i will start with on weekend i think with a total of 20h the char will be ready, magica takes even less to get them ready, is 20h is really that much? This is even cut down to 15h if i did skyreach in a group, 1h after work/college/school each day and here you have the character ready in less than a month.

As for skill points it takes 1h of skyshard collecting beside the skill points you have from leveling and dungeon/trials quests to have more than enough, i don't think this is insane amount of time

How da hell did you leveled Fighters Guild in 2h? Best spot would be Skyreach Catacombs as far as I know, but a full clear worth something like 300 FG XP.
