An idea for Craglorn

Since One Tamriel Craglorn has been nerfed. Whilst it was fun for some, many of my fellow players and guildmates would like to see it returned to its former glory as a true group area. Raise the difficulty level back to where it used to be and give us a challenge again.

As well as this I would like to see the drop sets in Craglorn changed on a bi monthly or monthly basis. A new range of 'one off, bind on pickup' sets that only drop during this period and are never to be seen to appear again (or for at least 12 months). I believe this would encourage more people to work harder to gain higher character levels in the game and also to make more of an effort to join groups and guilds to find these set items. Imagine the excitement with loads of players chasing bosses in Craglorn for those new special sets and having to form groups to defeat the bosses instead of being able to solo them.

Craglorn has become a ghost town for the most part in recent times and I for one would love to see it populated again. It is a fantastic map and considering that it is supposedly an 'end game' level map, I believe our devs are truly missing an easy chance to bring back a challenge befitting those players that have worked hard to create strong characters and like to run a map instead of a trial.

This sort of idea gets brought up a lot.

Im not thrilled about the idea of turning Craglorn back into a group zone. It was a total pain in the arse trying to find people on the same part of the quest as you were. Screw that. But yeah, ramp up the difficulty a little bit sure. I’m down for that, as long as it can be done solo. As for the sets, well they’d have to start by actually putting desirable sets in Craglorn first, none of the sets in Craglorn are overly high on a ‘must have’ list. I’m not thrilled about time gated sets either.

I think it deserves a second chance. We have zone chat now on console grouping up is much easier. Though with battle leveling I'm not sure if it will ever feel the same as it use to.

Craglorn was a ghost town way before they fixed it, now there are actually people there other than harvesting bots. Making Craglorn a soloable zone was the best thing they could have done for it. Even though it is soloable, its still the most difficult overland content in the game.

Additionally, one-off sets like that would be totally unfair to new players, who would never have the chance to get them. Besides, zeni cant waste time (and set bonus ideas) making three extra new armor sets every other month and having to make sure that each one is properly balanced.

Craglorn was completely dead for ages, apart from people harvesting.

If people didn't play there when it was a group zone last time, they won't go there if it becomes a group only zone again, it will just be dead again.

Would love the old bosses back that they removed don’t know why they ever did that in the first place

Because of how desolate Craglorn was before it became solo friendly, they completely did away with the idea of having another group-only zone. ZOS even joked at one of their event parties in Germany that, 'only about 11 people ever visited Craglorn' and he even admitted that he had never even been there on the Live server. So I think you can pretty much do away with the idea that neither Craglorn nor any other zone will ever become a 'group only' zone.

No, that would be a disaster, making it solo friendly was best thing they did. I would make it even more solo friendly by making the anomolies etc more soloble to remove problem of couple of quests still needing group.

Wow I never realised just how many folks just want all the open world map areas to be a solo players game. As most folks know you can join up to 5 guilds. Each of those guilds has 500 accounts thus if you do the math thats two and a half thousand people! If you cannot find a group to run Craglorn then you are doing something very wrong.

I still must disagree that making the hardest map in the game easier was a good move. It really did dumb the game down a lot and caused much disappointment in the groups I play with. There are plenty of other maps in the game and they are all easy to solo. The constant 'balancing' (nerfing) that has been going on in the game is incredibly discouraging.

Craglorn is not entirely a 'group only' zone but it does have many areas whereby it states that you are entering a group area. If they dumb it down any further they might as well remove that message from the game, make the map even easier and just make Craglorn another boring grind map in which any player and their level 10 toon can destroy!

The game needs challenging open world map areas with decent rewards. If you cannot handle the areas then it shows that you have work to do both on character creation and more importantly strengthening your network of guildmates.

Yeah because every guild has 500 members right? And they’re all on at exactly the same time right? Plus they’re all ready to drop whatever they’re doing to come do what I want right? Bloody hell. Look, while I agree that making Craglorn a touch more difficult then the other maps is something that I wouldn’t mind, returning it to a group only map is something I really don’t want to see. Coordinating stages of the quest was a giant pain the arse and something I don’t ever want to go through in this game again.

I can remember I was doing Craglorn for the 1st time ages ago (back in the days of veteran ranks)...It was a pain in the ass!

It was dead....like super dead, trying to gather anyone together for it was a bloody nightmare, It took me ages to complete everything (OCD achievement person here) I like to do PvE solo and there is plenty of other content that is done in groups.

So I like how Craglorn is now. Makes me want to go back there, as before when I had done it on my main I was like...."I AM NEVER DOING THIS CONTENT AGAIN!" -insert spit on the floor noise- hehe

When i heard they were re-vamping it I was like ok.....we will see....and I was pleased......sue me.
