A forum that I moderate for gives me the option to mute people. They can still post to their heart's content, but no one except the poster and mods can see the posts. To the poster it just seems no one is replying. We use this when someone is not breaking forum rules, but posts so frequently that it detracts from, rather than promotes, dialogue. Just saying.

great, another branding thread, I play ESO 15 hours per day, am I a no-lifer? no, why?, cuz I got a life in between the moments when I wake up and turn on my pc to start ESO.

In defense of "no-lifers" I would argue that the time which you can enjoy an MMO is priceless. Once it is gone and you can't enjoy it anymore then what? If you can get 25+ hours a week out of ESO I see that as a good thing. You are having fun with your plaything. You are in a groove that is satisfying. Unless you are in bondage to an addiction I see no problem.

    I'm a little anti-social... or maybe a lot. XD

II hate most of the things that women supposedly like doing and if I wasn't playing ESO I'd be playing something else. I'm a gamer and have been for over half my life. It's my "thing".
I do, however, try to do a bit of gardening and exercise during the week.

Unlike the very thread itself? A thread in which we ask at what point we can start telling people they have no life because they play to much eso? And to think I got a thread locked because I called someone tiny and adorable.

Okay, so... Why would ANYONE nolife ESO? There is no reason. There is nothing you can do endlessly that gives you an advantage over other players. I don't even wanna get into the fact that the game is boring and not worth bothering to get ahead. Take BDO for example where nolifing actually exists. No amount of time and money you sink into that game will ever be enough. People LITERALLY play 16 hours a day and they leave the game on to afk-fish when going out or sleeping. This is because every minute counts. Here in ESO you guys have absolutely no idea what it means to be a nolifer. No offence but this discussion is a joke. :(

If people want to whittle their lives away on a game for hours, days, weeks, months and years that's their problem. Look at what could be achieved in the real world if you put all that energy and time into actual goals and ambitions. The rich folk making money off the no-lifers didn't get there by spending all day, everyday on a game.

That said, fairly sure no-lifers are rare, and most gaming adults have some healthy balance in their lives.

Some of us have already done all that and are now retired. :) Thus we have plenty of time to wallow in our enjoyment that we had to set aside for all those years of working. I've put my energy, years, time, etc. into goals, ambitions, career etc. Now is the time to relax and enjoy.

It's a lovely "problem" to have.

That's lovely, I hope to be able to enjoy gaming many years from now when I'm retired. A life time of working warrants lots of play time in my view. I'm really talking about young adults still with their lives way ahead of them.

"Lives way ahead of them is a hopeful assumption at best. Every day our hearts keep beating is time further borrowed. If it werent for 6 months of painstaking Cancer treatment I wouldnt be here to talk about this game. I would have died 2 years ago.

I see no fault with the "no lifers", like me, they live their days however they want. You never know when you'll log on for the last time.
