As the title say.

Weapon damaged is based off of weapon quality (gold vs purple) and weapon level (lvl 50 cp 160). Magicka pool is not part of the equation.

Staff heavy and light attacks scale with a 40:1 ratio of magicka:spelldmg, so it's best to stack spelldmg to increase your light and heavy attacks.

    Er, no.

Magicka and Spell Damage both affect your Staff Heavy Attacks.

    To answer this specific question...
Do the magicka pool affect the staff weapons damage?

    The answer...
Weapon damaged is based off of weapon quality (gold vs purple) and weapon level (lvl 50 cp 160). Magicka pool is not part of the equation.

    ...is correct.

The weapon damage does not change no matter how big your magicka pool is.

However you both are correct that the damage you can do via a LA or HA is affected by magicka pool.

Haha people say different things :D? So what is it. Do magicka affect it in anyway or only spell damage :D?

See my first post, it's a 40:1 scaling.

Reading this, we should ask: Do you mean "Staffweapons damage" or "staff weapondamage"...it does make a really big difference...

If you have access to a test dummy perhaps you could explore your ideas. If you have access to PTS, then go there instead if gear and gold are keeping you from testing on live.

That said, magicka plays a small role, but straight up spell damage will have more impact on light and heavy attacks.

That depends on what you're asking. If by staff's damage you mean the "weapon damage" tooltip you see on your staff icon, then that is only affected by the staff itself, its level/quality/maybe nirnhoned trait. If, like it seems to me, you're asking about staves' base attacks' damage, as in what its light and heavies hit for, that stat is affected by both magicka and spell damage but the ratio is highly prioritizing spelldamage(40:1 sounds about right).
