Storm Master set. Not as bad as it seems?

I know this set isn't meta or anything but I just like to try different set effects to see what they do.
So I dusted off some old gear in bank to mess around a little bit with. I had a full set of Sorm Master and put it on to try it out a bit. Even If you're not light attacking much Storm Master seemed to trigger concussion pretty often, and with a charged weapon it seemed to trigger pretty much every other light attack, so it was up almost 100% of the time.
Even though the set procs lightning damage the concussion effect applies Minor Vulnerability 8% increased damage taken, which is pretty neat even if you're stamina oriented.
It also adds a second damage type to your light attacks so if you're playing a sorcerer the effect can give you an extra chance to trigger implosion also.
Every time cuncossion lands (also Lightning damage) would probably also have a chance to trigger implosion.
The damage itself from light attacks isn't that impressive, but given all the other secondary effects it's pretty awesome. Increased damage from Minor Vulnerability 8%, and increased chance of the implosion passive.
Has anyone else played around with this set lately?

✭✭✭✭✭I don't use this exact set but I use Storm Knight on my "Tesla Coil" MagSorc Alt. He is all Lightening and if nothing else the light show is spectacular. However even for an Orc Sorcerer he deals out the DPS with that set.
I think if you added in Stormfist Monster Set along with Storm Master and some other good Stam set (Hundings?) it could make for sizzling combo.Edited by Nestor on January 18, 2018 3:42PMEnjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

✭I used a gold version of this set on my stamsorc when the procs still used to stack (they limited it to a single proc one major patch after its introduction, about 6 months later). Even then it was difficult to achieve results which could compete with meta sets, despite the procs stacking up to double digits (I play only PvP). The set was at least 10x stronger back then, so I'm afraid it won't work out the way you (and I) was hoping it would. Its just too clunky for PvP.
