Is there a "classic" stamblade build that has stood the test of time?

I'm not much of a theorycrafter so I look fopr others ideas then tinker with them.
I've looked around at some of the well known builder's websites, but, naturally, everything has been updated to CWC and seems to be all Shacklebreaker and Bone Pirate (Which is of course fine). But has there ever been a Stamblade build that managed to last for ages with maybe only very small changes (to accomdate skills being nerfed or buffed)?
I guess I thinking of an old school meta-build that no one realy runs anymore.

I wouldn't be surprised if there isn't such a thing but maybe you can recall a stamblade build from the past that you had great success with?

I'm looking to recreate an old school 2h/bow build and either a DW/2h OR 2h/2h melee (melly)blade? I'd also like to run older gear sets too. Any theorycrafters able to help with this? Cheers, Bara.

Old school? DW/Bow.

I still do "alright" with my build, but it's not really what it used to be. Hard to rely on Vigor/Cloak & Dodge Roll alone in order to survive like back in the days. Still, it's satisfying to burst down sorcs through their Harness+Hardened stacks

2x Selene
5x Hundings
5x Sheer Venom (DW Bar)
Master's Bow

& just weapon dmg on everything...

Ambush, Vigor, Dark Cloak, Shrouded Daggers, Surprise Attack, Incap
Relentless Focus, Shuffle, Shadow Image, Siphoning Attacks, Poison Injection, Ballista

I've been playing builds similar to this one since the beta basically on my melee stamblade.

Eternal hunt is something you can back bar with a bow but not with bone pirate which you’ll want on both bars.

At the moment, on my meleeblade (although also able to use bow and have bars set up for that too), I'm using the following sets (and I'm a vamp) - 5 pc Morag Tong (body), 5pc Night Mothers Embrace (NOT Gaze) - dagger and axe, jewellery (all weap damage glyphs), 2pc Slimecraw

Yesterday, the stats for my Khajiit where pretty crazy - buffed I had something like 78-79% crit and 4.9k damage. But I was messing around with my bars in the Dressing Room addon and accidentally clicked save and now I've lost those sweet stats - any idea what I need on my bars to get them back? Since I've messed around - these are my current saved bars. Please advise what to change them for (remember, Khajiit is an up close and personal MELEEblade):

Front bar (DW): Surprise Attack, Ambush, Power Extraction, Deadly Cloak, Shadowy Disguise; Lacerate (trying to get the morph Thrive in Chaos, although switch out for DB of Smiting or Incap Strike)

Back bar (2H): Surpise attack, Ambush (switch out for Crit Rush - undecided), Executioner, Leeching Strikes; Bereserker Strike (still levelling this - not morphed yet)

As I say - these are a mistake - so, taking into account the gear sets too, what are the best bar set ups to create the highest damage possible?

He hasn't got enough sets on that build. I prefer my Selene + Eternal + Hunding + Bone Pirate + Troll King + Asylum 2H/Master's Bow build, with 3 mundus stones.

Eternal hunt, bone pirate, senche (was called skirmisher back in the day if I remember correctly), hundings rage. All solid sets since they came out.

I don't know about standing the test of time or what not, but since I don't like relying on proc sets for damage I much prefer to go without monster sets completely and rock this set up:
Eternal-Senche-Asylum 2H/Master's Bow (Infused with weapon enchant)

You open fights with: light attack-poison injection-dodge roll and boom. You just boosted your base weapon damage by 310 (master) + 452 (infused wp proc) + 420 (senche) = 1182 against your target. Just repeat every ~6 seconds and maintain huge damage through out the fight. The combination of shadow image, cloak and eternal make you quite hard to nail too.

Spot on. Eternal + Senche is my medium build and Bone Pirate + Hundings is my heavy build. Crazy good sets all of them.

I am currently running 5-piece automaton 5 piece bone pirate with asylum great-sword and master bow. It's working good for me but I am going to try out 5 piece dragur hulk instead of bone pirate and see if I perform better.

Hundings, agility, monster of choice, master bow, maelstrom (or now asylum) 2h.

This is a close approximation of what I was using when creating this first-person ganking vid. Couldn't quite get the stats to match but the gear is correct. 5 Hunding's, 4 Morkuldin, 3 Agility, DW/2h, 5 medium 2 heavy.

You roll around and kite until the opponent runs out resources. Then you turn and burn out of stealth. Rinse and repeat until you get the kill. You should have regen for days.
