Please Zeni release(if) Class separately from the DLC (:

If Zeni ever releases a new class (Which I don't guess will happen in the next 2 to 3 years at least) , please release it separately from the chapter or expansion or story content DLC.

So that the people like me who don't want a new class (Or not want to roll a new character) don't have to pay for it.

You think they're going to offer you a new playable class for free?...

You don't need to buy Morrowind to play the Warden class, so the class was a free part of the update. So I'm guessing if they ever release a new class you won't be paying for that one either.

Why would U think that ?
When does separately and free became synonymous ?

You do and making a class require a lot of investments of resources including time. So it won't be free nor do I want it to be free.

You do realize that they bundled the Warden + Battlegrounds in with Morrowind to call it a Chapter so they didn't have to give all three to their ESO+ subscribers for free, yeah?

If ZOS were the type of company that believe in a la carte pricing and selling things separately, we wouldn't have Crown Crates.

You do have a point businesseswise.
Even though Morrowind did got a quite a bit of backslash because of providing low content for to bux ratio.
But in the end it doesn't matter if people bought it.

Did you not read the end of his post where he said..

"So that the people like me who don't want a new class (Or want to roll a new character) don't have to pay for it."

Maybe I'm missing something here, but to me it seems as if he is asking for new classes for free with the base game.

..Now that I reread it I'm actually really confused of what he's asking..

Ok. Is he saying he wants the DLC, but not the new classes? ( Give me Marrowind and everything with it, but not the Warden class.) Whatever.

My bad, you are right you do need Morrowind to create a Warden, I just never realized it :open_mouth: . It's kind of messed up that ZOS did that, but I can understand why. (ie increased sales and such.)

Well I'll try but if that doesn't made sense to you most probably this won't either.

If you don't want to purchase something and don't pay for it . It does not mean that it is free but rather that you don't own(in this case the license for) it.

How are u not getting this ? :open_mouth:
For example in the case of Morrowind they could have not included warden in Morrowind and decrease the price and release Warden as a separate DLC.
Cause everyone is not altholic and does not role new characters every expansion.
By that they can increase the value of the expansion by decreasing it's price for us and they can appeal the class to the correct demographic and by scanning the profit they made they can and cannot work on a new class. They will have the correct idea of how large the demographic is for the new class.

So, what is it exactly you're asking for, a lower price ? A discount on the chapter ?

Morrowind is not a bundle, you can't pay for single items. If that were the case I would've loved to pay just for BGs and HoF, as the Morrowind questline was not interesting and the Warden I don't care about.

Problem is, the chapter is not going to cost less because it doesn't have a class in it, it's still gonna cost 34.99, because that's a standard, in the industry, for expansion packs, therefore the presence or absence of the class is not going to influence the pricing, therefore having it or not having it would not change a thing.

If you don't like the new classes, don't make a new character. Making a warden was not mandatory to play Morrowind or BGs. But don't kid yourself, the pricing is not going to change and, for that reason, if there is a new class, is going to be included to justify the price tag.

In short, it's not the additional class that makes the price tag higher, that is a standard, the content they put in serves to justify it.

Unless your argument is of principle, you are ok with paying the same price, but you don't want the class included, which is... I don't even know what to say to that...

    Hope this helps.
    Have a nice day.

I don't mind any type of new content PVE or PVP or end game PVE.
But I don't want the class to be included in the chapter. So they can increase the value of the chapter like I said.
I can even pay the same amount of money if the quality and the quantity of the content is better.
I don't mind the price but the value for the price.
Additional class does make the price for the expansion much higher.

Of course they could have released the Warden as a separate DLC! But then they would have had to give it to ESO+ subscribers for free. So they bundled it with Morrowind, rightly suspecting that anyone who really wants to play Warden will fork over the money for the Chapter.

The money grab worked. Don't expect ZOS to abandon that formula for new classes.

I’d normally criticize the post but in how things are done inconsistently, I could see a lot of logic in this.

My preference is that all class, QoL updates, DLC, and new features fall under separate expansion or DLC purchases.

I’m not a fan of the segmented approach. ESO Plus should grant the exact same benefits as purchasing content outright except for crowns and the original benefits.

Crafting bags, dye station and all this other additional stuff should either be available like your asking for purchase or align as I’d prefer but it doesn’t appear my interest aligns with this companies ever changing strategies and approaches

Some consistency would be good going forward

    Good luck on your feedback/request
