This has always been the case.

They get booted if they log off, or go through a delve load screen, or leave cyrodiil.

And the difference between a level 49 and a level 50 in Kyne is a few skill points. CP is still not available and you can go grab a few skyshards to match the skill points.

If the buffet closes in 15 minutes, you don't get to linger and eat for the next 4 hours.

A kick timer would be completely reasonable. CP's disabled in the meantime, gear downscaled if necessary. Its not like it comes as a surprise that you're were going to roll over level 50.

They should have lost emp when they hit 50 though, are you saying they didn't? In any case, how long do you honestly think someone can stay on without logging out? And no new 50s can get in.

It's really not the big deal you're making it out to be. He will be level 50 in Kyne for one day at most. He still doesn't have access to his champion points in that campaign, and thanks to combat leveling the stats are worse than they were when he was level 49.

That doesn't make non-vet a lie, this is just a unique facet of "leveling out" in that campaign.

If he brought with him cp160 bis gear it would still be an serious benefit, cp160+ with level 45 gear and you are horrible.

Yo. You're making a mistake that about 99% of people on the forums make in one way or another - you don't approach your issue with the eyes of a programmer. But you are being outrageous about it.

There are only so many CPU cycles and in case you haven't noticed, the lag in pvp means those CPU cycles are being used. What you demand is a constant level-comparison being done on all the characters in that campaign: "is so-and-so under level 50? If no, check next character. If yes, eject from campaign."

That constant checking would be a big drain on the server CPU.

Before you continue acting like an a-hole by claiming it wouldn't be a constant check, imagine if it ran on a timer. Say, once per minute? Then you would be rolling in here with your thong chafing you screaming about some person that you saw turn 50 and then killed you while being level 50. "They should have been instantly kicked" you would cry.

It's this simple: for minimal impact on overall performance the level exclusion seems to be getting checked at times where the character is both 1-not having AP calculations being done to it and 2-not a participant in the AP calculations of others.

In the middle of a fight, in a pvp delve, etc and so on, are all examples of #1 being in effect. Merely being in the pvp area would be an example of #2. So the level checks would be in the between places - in the entryway to the campaign, in the load screens that are the game changing zones.

Get over it.

Man I miss those times playing non-vet campaigns, and when I knew that I was going to hit 50 I just got my max level gear and monster set. You should have seen the whispers about hacking! Oh man I had such fun for 5 hours.
But seriously though, man up. He'll be gone soon™.

It used to be the case that you could stay logged in for 24 hours after hitting vet.. as long as you didn't log out, you'd still be there... This is now not the case and you get kicked pretty much within a few hours max as I've seen it happen to a few people in the last couple of months.

As some have said above, hitting vet means you'll be at a huge disadvantage (unless you're running some viciously cheesy monster sets) because you don't get any battle leveling meaning that people at level 25 will most likely whip you repeatedly if they know what they're doing.

THIS! .... above 50 is actually pretty gimped in Kyne ... there have been many people that have hit 50 ( myself included ) while in Kyne ( bwb ) and you can easily still get rekt by a level 10 ( level 10 is when the battle leveling is at its maxed btw ) .... The closer you are to level 50 the less "buff" you get from battleleveling

Sure, but many, myself included, have full crafted sets with gold (or at least purple) weapons ready to go in Kyne for low level characters every 5-10 levels. Sure, a CP level character may be able to use a few 160 lvl proc sets. But it isn't like Kyne regulars don't grind low level BIS sets as well.
