Lagging out during Dungeons/Trials/Cyrrodil.

Hi Everyone! PC-NA. So lately I've been having trouble with trying to run dungeons/trials/PvP. Normally if my ping in Discord is around 80-150 that's pretty decent for me. In game for ESO it's quite the opposite though. Open world exploration is actually OK most of the time. If I decide to do group based content it goes to poop. Sometimes it performs flawlessly and other times it's juts a struggle to connect to the servers once I DC. I'm just curious if others tend to have the same problem or something similiar? BTW other games perform flawlessly, but ESO tends to give me a rough time.

ESO is very much dependent on your CPU.
If it's weak then you can expect a lot of lags. The other games you mentioned are very likely to be more dependent on GPU, opposite to what this game needs.

Also, listing down your laptop/desktop specs would be helpful to readers, myself included, so we can at least help out on what can be improved such and such.

Well my CPU is a i7-7700 @ 3.60Ghz and GPU is a Geforce GTX 1060. Recently purchased this PC since it was a major upgrade compared to what I previously owned.

Have you tried OC-ing your CPU and unparking its cores?
Try to aim for 4.5Ghz if the architecture and cooling allows it. Playability will be improved by a lot. I've seen it work firsthand with a friend who ran an OC-ed stock i7 CPU.

Also, do keep in mind that there's only so much you can do with this game since its game engine is running on an old coding structure that was developed waay back roughly 10 years back. So there's a lot of limitations compared to later generations of game engines. Bummer. I know.

last night in cyrodil was bad. ping 360 and not moving much, yet i could run upto the guard in cyrodil on the tower and when trying to hit him got 'out of range' and he wasnt even fighting back for a few seconds.
