Argonian magblade, is it worth the race change?

I think every decent magblade recognizes that argonians are the best class for magblades. But how much better are they? I've often thought about reroll an argonian to test it out, but I HATE grinding toons. So I'm now tossing around the idea to use some of my eso plus crowns to race change my breton to and argonian.

I guess the question I have is, is it noticeably stronger? What are the difference is heal #s between argonian and say high elf from say swallow soul.

I just need some more convincing before I spend my crowns

Argonian isn't mandatory at all I played it for about a month and then I switched back to dark elf. Argonian simply doesn't have the damage I want. The stam sustain from pots was nice but I just run leeching strikes to make up for that. Argonian in heavy armor is crazy survivable though. The heals are huge with argonian and heavy armor. With path, swallow soul, and siphoning attacks you have almost 6k in hots running, no one will kill you, but when you face really good players you will notice the damage loss. If you want to play a heavy armor brawler type magblade argonian is for you. If you want to play a more traditional type magblade pick one of the Magicka races

I´m running warmaiden + alchemist on my argonian magblade.

The dmg loss compared to breton is trivial in comparable setups while the gained survivability is noticeable. In the end it will hardly matter if your fully procced funnel TT is 11900 or 12200.

To understand how much in reality gives argonian passive of returning resourses with the potion used, just divide its size for 45 seconds, then x2 - and this will be magiska, stamina, health analogy of this passive in resourse recovery.
It's small number, and with a huge gap in using - my opinion..

Also u have 5% more healing recieved+5% healed and some disease/poison resists - ok, but it is instead
    1. +6% of max magiska and +7% of danmer's fire damage (+2k fire resist and +6% max stamina).
    or
    2. +7% of max magicka, +4% of every elemental damage and 10% magicka recovery of high elf
    or
    3. or +7% max magicka + 3% reduce cost of magicka skills and 4k spell resist of breton

I'm not sure it's expremly important, but high elf sounds to me most balanced
and dark elf have biggest dps roof, which is very important for highest ranks on leaderboards for trials in pve (if play pvp and pve also).

P.s: My manablade is breton since created october 2014, and I decided to keep him with this race because really enjoy how he's customized and enouch enjoyed of his passives in pvp.

So it really seems like people don't really think it's worth it.

I play this guy strictly pvp solo and small scale is that makes any diference. I'm not a proxy 1.2.3 eots kinda player

my last magblade is bretonian, and she is doing very well.
So I don´t see any need for a race change
I have argonian NB too, and they also are fine, but my bretonmaid rocks.

What are you trying to do with your magblade do you play more of a kiting style or a brawling style?

Well I kinda like to play a bit of a mix. I run light armor and kiting is different than it used to be with image still being unreliable. I like to stay mobile and kite it's pretty necessary for cyro. But once I get into a situation where I pulled a few people or find a 1v1 i would have to say I'm more of a brawler. Definitely not a cloak abuser. I also really love dueling, out of cyro for duels I dont even slot cloak. I like to play a healthy mix I guess

    Hope that answered your question.

It's worth it period. It has crazy sustain, healing bonuses, max hp, max mag, poison effect immunity. It literally has no downsides. High elf is only worth if you know you can get like 2.2k mag regen BEFORE the 10% passive from elves kicks in, and even then you get no stam sustain and the rest of the goodies.

It's like the race was made for magblade, too bad it's ugly as ***

If you like brawling and find that your magblade build now feels squishy argonian could be a fix, but if you feel like you sustain Stam just fine and aren't squishy no reason to switch over to argonian and lose out on a lot of damage

I think dark elf is personally the best right now especially if you're a vampire. Argonian is good for sustaining yourself but your damage is pretty much relying on a skoria proc half the time. My magblade is still a high elf, but I wanted to go dark elf because of mag dk tbh.

So I did it. I used my hard earned eso plus crowns and changed my breton to an argonian.

Once I got done with the change, I took my newly beautiful argonian to the legend dueling get together. I'll have to say I really like the change in race so far. I had never felt so confident standing in my refreshing path and weaving swallow soul.

I went in with low expectations because I don't like to get worked up to be let down. The heal increase seems so small but man I could tell the difference. And tbh the damage output did not seem to be lacking (probably because breton doesn't have damage increase passive)

I can't wait to experiment with different builds on a new race, my 2h build for open world I weave on resto and haven't tried yet thay heals are gonna be glorious. Might even try out some HOT based snb TK bruiser.

grats with change but breton actually have it. he have +6% max magicka in compare with argonian, also 3% reduce spell cost and 4k spell resists

so I took the plunge today I changed from breton to argoinan on my templar..so far so good I may have lost 2k max magika and skills cost a tiny bit more but I've gained 2.5k health and 10% to my heals not to mention the rediculous potion passiv which is better than 10% recovery or 3% reduced cost all day long I think. my dps tool tips ie sweeps have gone down by hardly anything but my heals have had a big jump in tool tip
