Leveling questions

Hello everyone! I am leveling a character first time since one tamriel and have some questions 
1) how is leveling gear works now? I am leveling a magicka templar and i used to craft a seducer/magnus set every 10-15 levels..
But now i read that stats scale with your level? Does it worth to craft new set every 10 levels? Or you can go 10-50 with a level 10 set?
Also i read that gear you loot is like 160cp gear? Does that mean that looted gear from mobs/chest are much more powerful than crafted?
2) Should i go for skyshard hunting first for skill points and leave quests for later? (I have played and seen the stories of all factions on ps4..). How you level your chars?

JasonSilverSpring✭✭✭✭✭You are boosted up to cp160, but the lower your gear is from your level the weaker you will end up. I would get or craft gear every 10 levels. Quality also matters. Blue quality should work well. Gear that drops for you will be at your level, not cp160.
Not having any cp does not affect your scaling, but using cp on a sub 50 character can make it very powerful with the extras buffs.
How you level is really a personal preference. If you want to power level others can advise on that.1 -

In the past I leveled most of them with typical grinding - preferably killing monsters that level up FG.
My last 5 characters have been done a bit different. I got inspired by all the PITA posts about getting vigor and undaunted lvl. 9 etc.
So at lvl. 10 I go to Cyrodiil and do PvP until I have proxy detonation - next after that is to focus on 4man dungeons and delve daylies until I get Undaunted to lvl. 9 (or as high as possible until lvl. 45-50). In the meantime I collect lorebooks, shards, do dolmens and public dungeons. And also always Bleakrock Isle (just for the member berries and beta googles).
If there's an event I try to time it with the xp buff - maybe even combine it with xp pots / scrolls for a nice 160%-260% xp buff.

✭✭If I was leveling a magic toon, I’d make plain level 4 training gear and start lorebooks hunting straight away. Get the public dungeon group event while doing that. Maybe the main quest, guild lines and Cyrodil to Proxy Det. All normal dungeons 1 &2 you’ll have plenty of skill points doing it like this.
Crown XP scrolls FTW. The starter pack.
After level 30 start getting new gear every 10 levels. Put on new weapons I pick up and that’s about it. No reason to run vet anything for quite some time.
