Should The Rock Paper Scissors Emote Should be Free?

So I am quite happy actually that the rock paper scissors(or whatever the emote is called) emote is being added to ESO, it's a fun emote that I'm sure could be enjoyable for people to mess around with.
My issue with this emote is that it's one that costs money, and I find that puts quite a damper on it's usefulness really. I mean consider this, the emote will now only be useful for those who purchased it and are in groups of people who also have it.
For an emote such as the Rock Paper Scissors one, the fact that a lot of players won't even have it and it requires such interaction to really make sense it just feels like putting it behind a paywall is really hindering it.
I would honestly be okay with another emote getting locked behind a paywall in exchange for this one to be made free, because I really just feel that having to pay for this emote really just kind of ruins it.
But, these are my opinions. I want to hear what you guys think!

✭✭✭✭✭I think you're absolutely right that it won't work unless a lot of people have access to it and therefore it would be better as a free update than a crown store item.
But...I've played games that had rock/paper/scissors emotes (with and, in older games without, animations) which were free for everyone to use and even then it was very rarely used. If you want to decide who goes first at something there's better systems or the group usually has a pre-established hierarchy. And as a game it tends to have limited appeal beyond the novelty value.

✭✭✭✭✭In this situation, I think the emote should be free. It could have some great in game uses, but only if enough people have access to the emote. We could also get a /roll option through chat for a similar purpose, but that's something we also don't have for some unknown reason.1 -

They need to stop trying to sell such basic, bland emotes that most MMOs include in the base game. I’d buy a levitation emote or something complex. I would’ve paid for any one of the necromancer emotes in the Worm personality. This crap is not worth money.0 -

✭Rock, paper, scissors is like a (mini) 'game' within a game AND for it to make sense, it needs to be played with 1 or more other people/players who perform the emote at the same time. Since RPS is really is more than a simple emote, if it were made available to everyone free of charge, it would add a 'mini-game' element of fun for role-players and non-role players alike that everyone could enjoy and would be much appreciated by the player base.Edited by Maryal on January 16, 2018 4:48AM1
