It would be great if there was an additional bag for ESO + members, the 'Crafted Bag'
Where all crafted potions, poisons, food, enchantments, furniture etc (everything except weapons and armor) goes.
Given ESO has a trend of adding more and more items to the game (no objection) the inventory management is becoming beyond difficult. The difference between ESO+ and standard was convenience, now it has become nearly game breaking. The only solution for ESO standard players is to horde and wait for the ESO+ trial to clear their inventories once per year.
With the addition of the Crafted Bag, there could be an opportunity to have some staple items such as traits, styles and sub max CP materials as items that are craft baggable to all, and perhaps include soul gems (and uncharged) and undaunted keys to the list too. That way standard users will get a taste of the craft bag without getting the full privilege of paid subscription and ESO+ members get the addition of the crafted bag to add further benefits for subscribers.
That way ZOS can add as many new traits the game without jeopardising bank space for standard players. Standard players will get a demo version of craft bag that will likely entice more subscriptions, as opposed to the yearly trial version dump that takes place now. ZOS could then scrap the ESO+ trial program.

✭theres already a bag. its called your bag. they arent going to add a stack of new traits. your argument for that is pointless.
and the solution for non eso+ members is to manage their bags. its what people did before eso+, and amazingly, can still be done by anyone. once done, its no longer an issue. like in real life, if you let it get to that stage, it might be painful, but after you clean out your closet the first time, its easy to manage.1 -

✭They have added plenty of new items to the game since I started. Furniture items, furniture mats, style items, writ books, new ingredients. I agreed with the 'management' argument when it was practical and fun. Now it is impractical and a chore.
My play style is this, I own all the DLC's, so I play until my inventory hits breaking point. I then stop playing for 6 months until I get news the ESO+ trial is on. I then dump my items in the craft bag and play until inventory has hit impractical again.
Never had this problem pre Homestead. The trend seems to be getting worse, for good reason (they are adding content) but they are not alleviating the pressure more items puts on standard users.0 -

✭it would be nice- but not necessary for me. i get by using inventory insight which breaks things down nicely . add ons have done alot of the quality of life stuff for this game- it was a very smart decisiom by zos- because their interface design is straight ***. 4 years and the mail system is from hotmail circa 95, e.g, no delete all - , mark read, etc- save mails, etc STILL. thats striaght fact.0 -

I don't think storage chests would solve the problem as a whole, it is more systemic than that. There are some players that are too casual to get ESO+, there are some that won't buy a chest to overcome any inventory gripes. My concern is people will just leave. I know I leave for half the year because of it.
The only reason I want small items, specifically style traits, to go into the craft bag for everybody is then ZOS can then add as many new motifs and styles as they like without the inventory problem compounding for casuals or people that have no interest in ESO+. If casual / non ESO+ players stopped playing, it would effect the game as whole as it starts to feel less alive.

Yes, I wouldnt mind a minicraftbag for non-ESO+members. or more bank space for everyone.
For the newer/casual players Im more worried about the CP gap. I know a few who stopped playing at 160-250 CP because they felt they would never catch up. But thats another thread

so your argument is:
1. people are too lazy to deal with their loot. and keep everything instead of selling stuff
2. people are too lazy to get the available options that we already have
3. people who have no interested in subbing would leave over this non existent issue.
1. is your fault. not the fault of zos or the game
2. this one means no matter what zos do, it will never solve the "issue" because players are too lazy and cant be bothered using any of the available solutions, so why would they use this one?
According to your own logic, there cannot be a solution. ZOS have already put things into place but your own admission is people cant be bothered to use them. So no. Dont devalue my ESO+ on behalf of all the freeloader gamers on here. In fact, you'd likely cause some subs to unsub, therefore losing money for the game.2 -

✭Quit being a ***. I had no issue with the inventory before these new items. It was manageable, it was fun to manage, and has nothing to do with laziness. It was an enjoyable aspect of the game. There can be a solution. Very easy solution. Make style traits craft bag items for everybody, then ZOS can add as many as they for as long as they like without killing inventory management. It becomes scalable at that stage.
The primary item ZOS adds to the game is style traits. They add more every DLC, every Chapter. At the rate they are going, in a few years, if people are collecting all style traits, their banks will be full of style traits. More so that quite often you need to collect 10 piece to craft one style trait item. I'll be long gone by then anyway. It is common sense that if ZOS intends on adding new styles regularly their needs to periodic re-evaluations to the inventory system.0 -

Aeslief✭✭✭✭✭Your posts would read better if you stop confusing your terms. Style items are materials associated with motifs. Trait items are materials associated with a special function of crafted weapons and armor. Every expansion brings new motifs and therefore new style materials. It does not bring new traits, or new trait materials.
Yes, there are tons and tons of crafting materials. Yes, managing them all can be a chore - if you keep them all. Don’t need them? Sell them. Want to keep them all? Hey, there is already a bag for that. Are there a lot more items than there used to be, and should there be more storage options because of that? YES, which is the best justification for adding new storage - 360 slots worth of storage to be exact.1 -
gunplummer✭✭✭I wouldn't necessarily call it laziness, especially if a player is actively engaged in the economy. After all you don't know what the next flavor of the month will be until Zos comes out with a patch, update, or any other change to the game. As an eso plus member I love the crafting bag, but would really like to see a tab and search function added.
Being able to go to a specific ingredient, recipe, or enchanting tab rather than constantly scrolling would be a welcome addition. Also, being able to search for a specific recipe would be nice too.
Since I have friends on both PC and console I float back and forth and while PC has addons I don't have that luxury or option on xbox.
With the sometimes long loading screens, the alt mule shuffle isn't really what I would call a solution either, of course, even if I cleaned out my closet in RL I wouldn't necessarily stack everything on top of one another, that's just silly.0 -
Imryll✭✭✭✭✭If I were to get an added bag, I would definitely want it to be a bag for siege (and for other alliance war supplies like the repair items). It would be so nice not to have to scroll past all that Cyrodiil-only stuff all the time. That so much of it doesn't stack makes it even more of a nuisance and a space hog.

Slyjinxy✭✭✭Frankly it sounds like you want the benefits of ESO+ without having to pay for ESO+. I am not ok with that. There's a reason subscribers get perks, we make ZOS money and we deserve the perks. Watering down Plus by giving non-subscribers, especially longtime subscribers, perks that we get is just wrong.
It's like complaining that Amazon should give everyone free two day shipping when Prime members have been paying for that for years. Watering down a premium service is not the way to keep loyal customers.0 -

✭I'm in no way after free stuff. I clearly stated, additional perks would be required to make ESO+ even better.
My concern was more about the scaling of the game. If the trend is more items over time, and inventory remains constant, standard users are either in a position where they either have to subscribe, or move on from ESO. I know I, and many guild members play less because of it.0 -
