Hello,
This game runs on a mega server with player from several countries speaking several languages. Even if I find this great, it makes it hard to help new people because it is not easy to either to explain in or understand another language, especially when it comes to things like skill names or places names.
So I've think about pushing the "item link" a bit farther. We should also be able to :
Link skill : when a skill is linked to the chat, it appears in the chat between brackets in the language of the "reading" player game client. Clicking on it will open the skill menu and show the related skill. This would be really helpful to indicates to new players what skill they should use, for example "puncture" for a tank. Clicking on the link will make it easy for them to find said skill and drag it onto their skill bar.
Link quest : When a quest is linked to chat, it appears in the chat between brackets in the language of the "reading" player game client. Clicking on it will show a window with the journal description like it is written in the "linking" player journal but in the language of the "reading" player game client. This would be nice to help people that don't know what to do in their quest.
Link map location : When a map location is linked to chat, it appears in the chat between brackets in the language of the "reading" player game client. Clicking on it will open the map centered on that location with a visual on it. It should be possible to link every think with an icon on the map, even the people like navigator (telling to new players where he is and what it does will be easier).
What do you think about this ?
